Prologue

Y/n lived happily with her family. Her mother being a caretaker/healer and her father a samurai. Sure they had some arguments but that never stopped them from being a family. She had no friends growing up because she was also so serious. She'd help with her parents instead of wanting to hang out with others her age. After so many years have passed, the family became older and more riskier by day. They slowly grew apart as her father became one of the most important samurai's in the village. One day, Y/n's father caught a sickness that was unknown to the village.

Y/n's father was dying. Y/n's mother forcing her to go to her room so she wouldn't catch the sickness by standing next to him. But of course she wasn't going to just wait in her room all day. She knew only her father had the illness and that she'd be safe to collect some herbs outside the village. She had a feeling a pair of eyes watching her. She looked around but noticed nothing and eased. She went back home, only to the surprise of her father's death.

There would be a very fancy funeral for the fallen samurai. Then again, there was a gaze but Y/n saw no one looking at her. After the mother and daughter cried, they went home to sulk. She didn't want to tell her mother about the feeling of someone watching her. She felt it would have been a bad time with her father's death. So, she went to her room to be alone.

A few moments would pass and she heard a terrorizing scream from her mother. Y/n rushed to find what the fuss was about, only to find her mother in the jaws of a demon. Blood dripping from it's teeth and onto the floor. Then she realized that this horrifying demon had been following her for the past few days. Y/n ended up running away from the village. The demon staying behind to enjoy the feast of villagers. Knowing it would see Y/n again one day.
