I just want to give you guys a little background and introduction to this short story of mine.
I initially wrote this short story for a creative writing class that I took in the spring of my senior year of high school (2019), then I revised it (the version here) and entered into WriteTheWorld's fantasy competition!!
This story is set in the fantasy world of Clyceria which is one that I have made up and am currently writing a novel set there. That being said, this short story may end up being a scene in my novel, but I have yet to fully decide. I'm mainly just waiting to see where that story leads (I currently have one chapter finished). So comment if you want to read my fantasy novel where you'll see Elric again!!
