later on in the day mattia showed up knocking
"hey mattia" I said giving him a hug

"hi you two" she says opening her door wide so we can walk in
"hi to my other mom" I say
"hii Mrs. cosentino" mattia says
"kairi is in his room but is busy and won't let people in so if you want you guys can have some hot chocolate" she says
"that'd be lovely" I say taking a seat on her dining table, she makes us some hot coco and ask me to go get maiya. I run to Maiyas room and she was filming a tiktok to the song sugar by brockhampton and I dance with her once she post it she gives me a hug and ask me what's up
"your mom made us some hot coco" I tell her
"yay lets go" she says running to the kitchen. we went up and sat down on the dinning table and drank our drink.
"hey maiya go and get your brother to spend time with us and if he's sleeping have liv go wake him up" her mom said
"okay, olive I'll come back and get you If he's sleeping" she said. I looked at her confused because on one calls me olive
"where did you get that nick name?" I ask
"just thought of it right now" she says
"oh okay" I say and she runs up the stairs
Maiyas POV
I run up to kairis rooms and he's on the phone with someone smiling. he was talking to a different girl, I thought that him and olive would get together but I guess he moved on quickly
"hey kai liv and mattia are here, we're drinking chocolate milk and mom wants you to come down and spend time with us" I say
"ill be down in 5 minutes" kairis says looking back at the girl he was on call with
"okay" I say kinda sad because he likes a different girl. I walk down stairs back to the table where the others were "he said he will be down in 5 minutes he was on call with a girl" I also noticed that liv didn't make a sad face when said that, she probably knew or moved on which sucked.
"okay we will see if he comes down, but in the mean time does anyone want marshmallows in their hot coco" my mom asked

Olivias POV
I was sipping my hot coco (sparks by Coldplay started playing and it made me want to cry k bye) slowly because it was burning hot still while I made small talk to everyone at the table. I start hearing foot steps come down the stairs and that's when I got nervous and mattia was able to tell.
"hey kai" I say when he comes and sits next to me which was a brave move
"hey liv" he said as his mom passed him his cup of hot coco. no one talked very much after that, there was some small talk but that was about all. after we all finished our hot coco kairi invited mattia and I to his room
"sure" mattia and I say at the same time. we all walk up to his room and it was awkward, it wasn't how it used to be when we all were close. I felt like kairi was drifting from the group which made us all sad
"kairi mattia and I have something to tell you" I said with a sad voice
"what's up" he asked
"well I found out that you were talking to another girl which if fine I guess but since you moved on I realized it was good that I should to so now mattia and I are in the talking stage" I said and kairi looked like he was disappointed in me
"oh so bro code isn't a thing I guess" Kairi says
"kairi you never claimed that we were talking ever so you have no right to say that it was bro code" I say
"but I poured my heart out to you didn't I" he said
"yeah then you basically ghosted me after that" I said
"im sorry that I found someone that is better then you ever were or will. now you two can go fuck some place else because I want nothing to do with the either of you" he says
"kairi stop" mattia says
"stop what, both of my best friends are talking to each other" he says
"YOU LITERALLY LEFT ME FOR SOME GIRL THAT YOU BARLEY KNEY IM TIRED OF YOU PUTTING THE BLAME ON ME KAIRI" I scream
"you guys are perfect for each other" kairi says. that's the last thing he said to mattia and I before we walked out and went home
