Not even 1 hour later, he sends me a message through Instagram.

I forgot he had Instagram.

"Hey, you plan on spacing out any longer?"

It's like I blinked back to reality, taking in my surroundings for a bit. Standing inside a Jack in the box, the line growing every passing minute as the air was a bit cold, enough for me to tug up my jacket further. Noticing how my friend already ordered and was just waiting for me, I quickly said mine with a bit of stutter.

We got our cups to fill it up with our favorite drinks, then chose a table to sit and wait patiently.

"I'm gonna go use the restroom really quick, our number is 245 if the food is ready."

This gives me a chance to see what he said.

Not like I care or anything. Curiosity gets the best of me sometimes.
