Jaster was trying to upgrade his deck by purchasing a new card pack from the automated machine next to the convince store. Usually when there was a new supply of digital cards coming in, this was the place to get them. And today, Friday, was that day new packs were pushed out.
"Alright, you dumb machine. You've scanned my info. Let's get the bronze pack. I can't afford the silver at the moment, so let's make it a good one."
Jaster moved to the "Purchase bronze pack" option of the screen, and the information downloaded onto his chip.
"PACK DOWNLOADED. CONGRATULATIONS. YOU HAVE RECEIVED....SILVER JOHNNY CAGE."

"Well. Better than nothing, I suppose." Jaster sighed, removing his chip from the machine and inserting it into his phone.
"That means I have...my Lin Kuei, Johnny Cage, and Shirai Ryo. I consider that an okay team, I guess."
