Hi everyone! I'm Belle, an admin of The Wild and Free Community and welcome to my guide on 'How To Start A Book On Wattpad.'

If you're reading this, I can only assume that you're new to the Wattpad community, a new writer or a writer who wants some extra guidance and tips. Therefore, I welcome you all and I hope you find this book super helpful.

Please feel free to check out other books on our account. As a community we also have a book club, cover shop and in the future we hope to host a contest.

For now, sit back, relax and let me try and help you as you embark on your new writing journey.

•About Me!•

As I've already said, my name is Belle and my Wattpad user is (ABrunetteGirl ). If you've already checked out our members book, you'll have hopefully read my introduction page but if not, I'll give you an insight.

I'm an 18 year old student from the UK and I've been on Wattpad for 6 years. I've watched as Wattpad has grown and changed which has meant that I feel like I am now in a position to help people out when it comes to the Wattpad world.

Trust me, I know, Wattpad can look a bit crazy and daunting at first but once you get a bit more understanding and get how it works, you'll soon grow to love it. Persevere and I promise you won't regret it.

I'm currently at the end of writing my first romance and teen fiction novel called 'Trapped Love', it's been a wild 6 years of writing this, and I'm both sad and excited to see it come to an end. I'm looking to branch out into the crime genre and some action and adventure next and I'm hoping those stories won't take another 6 years to write, haha.

I am also the founder of Wattpad Mentoring which is a mentoring programme that I've set up over on my profile. I'll speak more about this in a future chapter and I hope you read and consider joining the programme.

Over the chapters in this book I hope to teach you the tips and tricks of writing a book on Wattpad. Whether that be from starting from scratch with character profiles, picking the right cover, planning or all the way to promoting, immersing yourself in the community and joining other social media.

I may ramble at times, it's a bad habit of mine, but I'll try my best to summarise my main points at the end of every chapter!

At the end of each chapter I'll have a Q&A comment section where I'll answer all your questions. Please leave any requests of topics you'd like me to cover for future chapters!
