(Y/N) works at a coffee shop in New Jersey. Nothing special. They're just a regular barista. A particularly lonely one though, always crushing on the guys that come through the door. Quite the hopeless romantic. But this guy who started coming in recently. Damn, (Y/N) has the biggest crush on him. They always make sure to get his order exactly correct (even if it is just a black coffee), watches him while he sketches in the corner of the shop and is genuinely friendly to him. He is so beautiful. Sometimes, he giggles when (Y/N) tells a joke and his entire face lights up. His giggle is so adorable and they just love the way he looks and his personality. He's perfect to them. All they want is to talk to him as much as possible, and today they're going to try to accomplish that.

At 11am (the usual time), the guy walks in and orders one black coffee. (Y/N) serves him with a smile and he goes to sit in the same corner as always with his sketchbook and pencils. Luckily, they decided to have their lunch break early so that they could go and talk to him. I mean, they were the only one who served him and made his coffee so he must know them by now? And they have a name tag that they saw him glancing at a few times, so he must've wanted to get their name?

(Y/N) POV:

I decided now was the time to go and talk to this wonderful man who I've seen so many times. I just can't stop thinking about him, I want to at least know his name by the end of the half an hour I have with him. Maybe I'll even ask to see him again? Who knows, eh? I'm sure it'll be fine. But if I mess this up I will lock myself in my room tonight and cry. But let's put out positive vibes.

I walk over to his table in the far corner and say with a smile, "Hi, I just uhh- think you seem really nice and I'd like to talk to you while I'm on my break if that's okay?"
"That's fine, (Y/N). Don't stress about it, I wanted to talk to you too!" He replies, filling me with confidence.
"Great! So, what's your name?" I say.
"Gerard Way, but you can call me Gee."
Gerard, such an unusual but cute name. It suits him really well. And Gee is an adorable nickname. And adorable nickname for an adorable guy.
"My full name is (Y/N) (Y/L/N), but you can call me (Y/N/N)."
"Awesome. So what do you do besides make awesome coffee for me?"

We talked for a long time until I realised my break was over. I'd actually overrun by a few minutes. He's just so interesting to talk to and I love his voice, so calming. When he gets excited about things you can see his eyes sparkle and I can't get over it. Gosh he's perfect.

"Hey, just before you go (Y/N/N)," He says, "Do you wanna do this again sometime? I can give you my number if you want, so we can arrange stuff."
"Of course, I'd love to!"
"Great, I'll just write my number down for you."

He rips a page out of his sketchbook and folds it in half, using one of his pencils to scrawl his number down.

"Thanks, Gee. See you soon!" I say, filled with delight that it actually went well and he wants me to text him.
"See ya!" He replies, getting up from his seat.

He walks out the door and I wave him goodbye. I'm very glad that went successfully.

The rest of the shift went so slowly, just waiting for it to be over so I can text him. I miss his face already. Clingy is like my middle name at this point. But whatever, I'm sure he doesn't mind.

After the shift ends, I quickly grab my phone and rush back to my car. How should I start the message... Hey? No that seems weird. I'll go with Hi. Remember what he said,
'Don't stress about it,'
Right.

(Y/N): hii it's (y/n/n)! i just got off my shift.
Gee: hey! how was the rest of the shift?
(Y/N): quite boring tbh, just not many people and time was going so slowly.
Gee: ah jeez, sorry about that. wanna meet up at the same time tomorrow?
(Y/N): i'm actually off work tomorrow!
Gee: woo! so do you wanna meet up at mine instead?
(Y/N): sure, that'd be great! what time?
Gee: let's say 11am. My address is 23 Parker Street :p
(Y/N) great! be there at 11 :)
Gee: nice!

Oh my gosh. I get to go to his house? I'm so excited, I don't think I'll be able to sleep.
