House Fortitudo is one of the Great Houses, and is well known across Westeros as the second most wealthiest house; falling behind the Lannisters.
It is one of the oldest dynasties, founded by David the Merciless. They rule the Central of Westeros, from their seat in Marhal, the second most powerful place.
The words of House Fortitudo are: "Power from Secrets." This is because David the Merciless blackmailed other houses for their resources, using knowledge to his advantage.
The head of House Fortitudo is Lord Oran Fortitudo, who has three children with his wife Moraine. Marienne is the eldest at eighteen years of age, the male middle child Jaison being seventeen, and the youngest child Anna, who is fifteen.
While Lord Oran resides in Marhal with his wife and children, he sent his eldest child to work for the Lannisters, believing this the only way forward, and to form an uneasy alliance between the two houses, although he remains personal friends with the Starks and Tully's.
House Frey are rivals of Fortitudo, with the mutual hate running back centuries into the blood lines of both Houses.
