Experiment in a main power country regarding integrating animal ADN into humans to enhance soldiers goes wrong. Test subjects escape and due to their instability they end up attacking and transforming people. Body fluids directly transmitted to other people generate the same changes within their genotype.

General chaos; goverments try to stop the epidemic of people with this genetic change but because of it being undetectable at first and generally activating with high levels of anger or stress, is quite unpredictable. This virus escapes from country 0 and is spread to various parts of the world.

Because this gene change is permanent, there is no way to reverse it; due to a relationship of the virus to the Y chromosome, it only seems to be transmitted to men. The altered genotype can be also transmitted by reproduction.After a general conflict involving killing people who have this altered genotype because of the danger it presents to society, which was not successful due to the easy transmission of the virus if someone altered went out of control and because of the protests about the current infringement of human rights towards these beings, it was decided to change the perspective on the subject and try to integrate them into society.

Because the chances of transforming can be reduced by having good self-control / discipline , the "homoanimals" (that's what it's been decided to call them) should go to anger management lessons, in addition to regularly taking antiviral medications that inhibit their ability to transform completely. They are feared / despised (basically discriminated against) by the rest of society, who resent them for attacking and killing many people in past and for fear that they themselves will be attacked / transformed into the same thing. Governments try to reconcile both parties to liven up coexistence and the newer generations do not feel so much hatred towards homo-animals.

Attacks occasionally occur, especially in the most precarious areas of countries, where the precautions that homo-animals must take are less accessible. So there are still new cases and the hatred of the people keeps growing.

Furthermore, homoanimals tend to socialize with each other because of the discrimination they suffer outside of their circle. They find it difficult to get a partner because of the prejudices around their condition and the fact that in case of having male children, it is almost guaranteed that they will also be an homoanimal. For this reason homoanimals are exhorted to have no offspring. Practices that can stimulate their more "animal" side (such as hunting or more violent sports) are also not recommended.
