First Love - Hinata x Kenma (Kenhina)

Prologue

*Please read..*

This first chapter will spin-off of the first time that the two of them meet. However, the scene will be a bit different than what you see in the manga and show. If you are unfamiliar with this encounter, then you can read this chapter to get a similar idea, but of course, it won't be the exact same as in the original makings. You can skip this chapter if you want, but I recommend reading this to understand the situation a bit better.

Hinata's POV:

"Huh, Where am I?" After passing Kageyama during our running drills I seemed to be a bit far ahead.

Narrator POV:

After going far ahead from the rest, Hinata became lost. After he realizes that He hears a "meow", which turns his attention to his right, where he sees another boy with gold dyed hair petting a cat. He then approaches to greet him, for he has not seen anyone with those kinds of clothes like that in his town before. He was wearing red sweatpants and a hoodie and seemed pretty lonely.

Hinata: "What are you doing?"

The boy flinches, a bit surprised, but then responds "Umm... I'm lost". He then proceeds to playing on his phone.   Hinata responds, "Are you from out of town?" He becomes insecure, but the replies, "yeah". Almost immediately after Hinata exclaims, "I'm Hinata Shoyo! What's your name?" Flustered by the question, the boy responds, "K-Kozume" in a shy voice, almost a whisper.

"You're name is Kozume!" Hinata replies enthusiastically while edging closer to him. "K-Kenma, K-Kenma Kozume." Hinata is now looking at him intensely while only 2-feet apart. Kenma feels flustered and starts to shelter himself like a ball to try to keep away from gaining eye contact with this stranger. Then Hinata replies joyfully "Kenma Kozume! That is a really cool name!!" Kenma now feels embarrassed and goes back on his phone. After a few seconds, Hinata breaks the silence, seeming surprised, "You play VOLLEYBALL?!" He yells. "Huh," Kenma said, a bit confused.

"Those are volleyball shoes!" Hinata replies while pointing at a bag next to Kenma. "Oh.. y-yeah, I play volleyball" Kenma speaks. "I play middle blocker, what do you play?" Hinata asks. "Setter, I play setter" Kenma responds. Hinata's seemed amazed as his face brights up, "That's soo cool!!!" he responds with a smile. Kenma looked at Hinata and his closed-eyed smile and suddenly his chest hurt. He felt like his face was burning up. He didn't understand what was wrong.

"Are you okay?" Hinata asks. "Your face is turning red." Kenma quickly turns his head embarrassed by the question. "I'm fine," he said, flustered. Hinata then starts again, "Kenma, are you sure nothing is wro-" Before being able to finish his sentence, another person walked in. He was a taller man with long black hair,  wearing the same uniform as Kenma starting walking towards them. "There you are Kenma," he said. "We've been looking all over for you, you gotta look up while your walking". "There you are, Kuroo, I've been waiting" Kenma replied.

Kenma then stood up, but then he turned around and looked at Hinata and said his closing remarks. "It was nice meeting you, Shoyo. Don't worry, I'll see you soon." Confused, Hinata replied "What do you mean Kenma" Hinata was perplexed, while he waited for a response. But before Kenma could reply, the tall man said, "Come on Kenma, or we are going to be late for night practice" Kenma started walking, but after a few steps, he turned to Hinata once more and answered his question, "You'll see". Then the two of them left.

Walking back to the gym was a silent one for Kuroo and Kenma, but after around 5 minutes, Kuroo said, "So who was that little shrimpy over there?" Kenma responded, "I don't know, I just met him" Kuroo knew right then that Kenma was hiding something, but Kuroo was curious, so he decided to try and find out what Kenma was hiding from him. "You guys seemed to have been in a nice conversation, what was it about?" 

Kenma, suddenly feeling the same feeling in his chest from before replied, "It was nothing, we didn't talk about anything special." He then quickly turned his head away from Kuroo which made Kuroo even more curious. "You know your face is as red as a tomato right?" He said. Kenma jumped before saying sternly, "Shut up. My face isn't red." "Whoa. My bad." Kuroo replied surprised by Kenma's reactions. "Let's just hurry and get back before it becomes too dark."
