There was nothing worse than the overwhelming swarm of bodies rushing through the halls and into the courtyard. The volume surged with every bell that came and went, feet pattered, papers flew, pens twirled through the air and the occasional shriek of exasperation from a well-executed prank could be heard only if you focused hard enough to block out all the accompanying sounds of Fifth period. This marked the end of the first half of the day, but it meant Lucky had more faces to remember, more names to learn and more individuals she'd learn to avoid. This would be the only break of the day since she would start off the year with a heavy plate of main courses she joyfully requested to take. Core courses are made for a speedy school day and an engaging "home" life. But that part is manageable. Reading, studying, logic and the arts! While her peers struggled to create their auras and focus their senses, Lucky thrived and even happened to master her own soul flame on her very first day. While it would not prove to be the best way to make friends, it sure meant Fae of Sight would deem her worthy of more challenging exercises.

The Feas' were well renowned teachers of all Ethereal Entities and if anyone could help Lucky wade into the pond of enlightenment it would have to come from them! While many of the first years overlooked their first period teachers to be mature dressed children, Lucky made sure she could pick out the knowledgeable beacons of light from any crowded room. Fae Sight, or Ms. Clarity as she would prefer to be called, stood only four feet tall and rivaled her fellow teachers/siblings in practicality and smarts. But she was always said to be regarded as the most sensible and wise. She mirrored her superior in all manners of speech and calmness and is known as the only Fae to be able to question Mother Nature on matters both trivial and of significant importance. This made her extra intriguing and worth every ounce of Lucky's attention. Besides fifth period break, fourth period would quickly become a personal favorite class for Lucky and even more exciting still was seventh period to come.

"Watch it newbie!" A voice rang harshly as Lucky felt her body jerked quickly to the side. A sharp pain grew in her elbow as she smashed against the stone walls and after quickly closing her eyes to help hide the initial reaction of fear, anxiety, and sadness, Lucky blinked and turned her head the catch a fading glimpse of four Sophomore entities. As they continued their strut back into the hall from the outside court, they began giving each other high fives and turned their heads back to smirk at the satisfied reaction of a terrified and helpless expression stuck on her face. Lucky turned back to look outside at the blooming flowers and rushing centerpiece fountain in the main courtyard and hurriedly rushed past the opened doors towards the botanical gardens.

Once outside she quickly walked into the hedge maze and passed all the statues of the Divine rulers, past the rose collections and after multiple turns, she stopped to gaze upon a quartz cut gazebo. Pure white with four dual grove pillars in the front and back. Lucky walked into the hollow frame and marveled at its quaint yet homely nature. The gazebo housed an aspen wooden bench which was mounted into the floors to halfway encompass an oval matching table. Lucky slid her bag into the seats and sat at the edge of the bench before sighing and rolling up her jacket to expose her now lightly bruised elbow.

If her father were here that group of ruffians would have been turned into toads or slugs before they ever had a chance to blink. Lucky smiled at the thought but frowned seconds later. Her father was a lesser entity, although the prank would have been well deserved, he would've surely faced a harsh just sentence. Black Magic was feared yes, but his status held no weight here. A figure of pitiful disgrace was all that name ever brought to the forefront of one's mind. Lucky loved her father; he had been her rock for ages. He was an exemplary pillar of strength, knowledge, and love in her eyes, but some things aren't decided by family ties. At least not in her case. Black Magic's ability ran dry the moment his partner, Lucky's mother vanished. He used to be an illusionist, a grand contract missionary of The Hand. Some even joked and would say he accompanied Death into other worlds to bring about those whose Father Time had deemed necessary to pass on. Lucky knew better though. Death wasn't all that nice, and her father only ever brought him up when there was money involved. The two were not partners. They worked under the same organization and had different M.Os. Her father would help the unfortunate souls cross over to ensure they got what was coming to them. Death would simply collect the souls and transport them from place to place. Not every soul returned to Father Time apparently. But if Lucky ever let the truth get out, she'd have more than just her own soul flame to worry about.
