People ask if I'm mute
Because I don't speak
There are tons of thoughts
But I'm afraid to voice it out
I tried to speak up before
Tried sharing what's on my mind
But they just gave me a weird look
And acted like they did not hear anything
I wonder what was wrong
Was it the way I speak?
Or was it the topic I shared?
I couldn't find the answer
I never ever wanted
To become the unwanted
So my thoughts remained in my head
And I kept my mouth shut
I tried to speak,
They didn't listen
Am I mute?
Or they are just deaf?
