Kakashi was brought into the Uzumaki household by Himawari. He then sat down on the red couch and looked around. He felt happy that Naruto managed to raise a family and finally have a house for himself.

He then remembered the times when he had fetch Naruto for missions and his apartment block was tight and all in a mess.

"By the way, what is your name?" asked Himawari as she handed a cup of hot tea to Kakashi.

"I'm your father's sensei, Hatake Kakashi"

"Oh! You're that old man on the stone monument!" smiled Himawari.

"O-old man?"

"Sorry if Boruto puts you off. He's always like that whenever dad doesnt come home" said Himawari as she sat on the couch. Her feet barely touching the ground.

"It's fine. But you know that your dad's very busy with work." said Kakashi as he looked at Himawari.

"I know that but Boruto still feels the same" said Himawari

"How old are you Himawari-chan?" asked Kakashi.

"I'm four while my brother's five!" smiled Himawari.

"You seem pretty mature for a four year old" mumbled Kakashi.

Suddenly, the door creaked open. Naruto and Hinata have returned home to pack their things.

"I'm back! Oh, Kakashi-sensei! I didnt think you would come over so quickly!" said Naruto who had his arms crossed with Hinata's.

"Good evening Kakashi-sensei! Thank you for offering to care for my kids!" said Hinata as she bowed.

"No, no it's nothing. But, Hinata I've haven't seen you in a long time. You've grown into a fine lady" said Kakashi as he smiled. He felt that he has gotten really old.

"Stupid Tou-chan!!" yelled Boruto as he ran down the stairs and ran straight to Naruto. He then delivered a front kick to Naruto which was blocked by Naruto's hand.

"Oh? Boruto, did you learn a new taijutsu skill at the academy?" chuckled Naruto as he felt the strong force Boruto's kick had.

"Obviously not! You didnt tell me you were leaving for a week dattebasa!" yelled Boruto.

"Boruto, tou-chan has important work to do outside. It's that important that kaa-san has to tag along as well" said Hinata as she bent down to Boruto's eye level, caressing his head.

"But Kaa-chan.." mumbled Boruto

"Boruto, this is your time to shine dattebayo! With me and kaa-chan gone, you can prove to me if you are strong enough to protect Hima-chan!" said Naruto with a bright smile.

"Alright dattebasa..." sighed Boruto as he stared at Kakashi. He took a long stare and then went up to him.

"Old man! I can't see your face! Remove your mask!" said Boruto as he pointed at Kakashi's mouth.

"Tou-chan! Kaa-chan!" shouted Himawari as she ran and hid herself inside Naruto's hokage cape.

"Oh my little sunflower!" said Naruto as he held Himawari up high and gave her kisses on her cheeks before letting her down. Himawari then went to Hinata and hugged her waist.

"Welcome home kaa-chan!" said Himawari as she was held by Hinata. She then snuggled her head into her shoulders.

"Himawari, did you visit Uncle Neji's grave again? You smell of sunflowers" giggled Hinata. Himawari nodded as she was put to the floor.

"I'm sorry Kakashi but we're in a hurry to pack. Could you make dinner for Boruto and Himawari?" said Hinata as she went upstairs.

"Kakashi-sensei, good luck" said Naruto as he hurriedly went upstairs as well to pack.

"Dinner huh?" mumbled Kakashi as he headed to the kitchen. He checked the fridge and cabinets. He wasn't a good cook but he made use of whatever ingredients he could make.

Meanwhile, both Boruto and Himawari were upstairs helping their parents pack, leaving Kakashi time for himself as he quietly cooked.

"Once Naruto and Hinata leaves, it's gonna be a long week" sighed Kakashi as he continued to cook.

Soon, Naruto and Hinata were ready to go. They were dressed in their combat gear with small bags hung over their shoulders.

"Kakashi-sensei, take care of my kids alright?" said Naruto with a bright smile as he closed the door.

The moment the door closed, am empty silence surrounded the household. Boruto and Himawari sat at the dining table, still looking at the closed door.

"Boruto, Himawari. It's time for dinner" said Kakashi as he held a pot full of curry.

"Curry? I want ramen!" complained Boruto.

"Just like your father huh?" smiled Kakashi.

"Nii-san, we ate ramen yesterday already" said Himawari.

"Fine. Itadakimasu.." said Boruto softly as he took a bite.

"A long week has begun huh" sighed Kakashi as he stared at the family portrait hung across the living room.
