Life is always full of surprise and so unexpected. Welcome to my life, I'm Julia. I'm a basic highschool girl, living in her basic life. My parents are divorced and I live with my mom, I have my bestfriend Eva who is the kindest and smartest girl I know. I'm not popular and don't have many friends either.
"Do I really have to go?" I complained to my mom.
"Yes sweetie, it's a business meeting and my boss wants to meet you as well." she replied
I am being forced to go to a meeting that I'm not even concerned in, I could be playing Minecraft at home but no, my mom's new boss wants to meet me although we don't know each other. I just wish I could run away. We got into a fancy restaurant and there were lots of people dressed fancy. I sat next to my mom on a big table where all the business person gathered to talk. Everyone looked older than me, what did I expect anyway. After the meeting, I went to the bar and asked for a soda "Anything for the lady." said the bartender. I was just sitting near the bar sipping my soda when a tall handsome guy, wearing an expensive classy suit and seemed to be my age, was talking to the bartender.
"You know, I can tell you were staring at me, right?" He said with his dreamy British accent.
"You wished and why would I stare at you anyway." I said rolling my eyes as I turn to join my mom.
Suddenly I feel something grabbing my hand, it was the same guy. "You shouldn't roll your eyes at someone who is being nice to you." He said looking into my eyes. "Okay sorry dad", I said sarcastically and left to join my mom. "Honey my boss wants to meet you, go say hi to him." I walked to him and we were talking "you must be Julia, your mom told me so much about you." Meanwhile the guy at the bar earlier was walking towards us. "Oh Julia, meet my son Jack." Well that was unexpected. We acted like we didn't know each other and she shook my hand. "Nice to meet you", he said. "Nice to meet you too" I said coldly.
"Anyways I have to meet my other worker. Bye Julia it was great meeting you, see you around", said Mr. Knight leaving me and Jack alone. "So Angelita, it's just me and you", he smirked. "Ugh leave me alone", I said leaving him to go to the dinner table and joined everyone else. I sat next to my mom and Jack got the audacity to sit next to me. While eating, the adults were having conversations leaving an awkward silence between me and Jack and that douche dared to put his hand on my thigh. I was really uncomfortable and removed his hand but he kept putting it back as he started tickling me. I stated laughing and begged him to stop by whispering but he wouldn't, so I grabbed his hand in order to stop him. "So you guys are close?", said Dianna, a backstabbing bitch who can't clearly mind her own damn business. "NO!", I said and Jack said yes giving Dianna a pissed look. But whatever I don't care about her anymore. When the dinner was over, I was walking to the exit when I saw Jack talking to Emily, they seem to be having fun. I thought we had something going on but sike, gues he's like that with every other girl. I am an idiot. I don't care anyways and would probably never see him again.
