The Deal

Hard to get

~Brie P.O.V~

I'm in my room reading a book called "The Highway" when my bestfriend,Nikki,basically barges into my room.

"Omg!! How was it? How did you feel? We're girls staring at you?? I bet they were! They must be jealous!!" Nikki blurts out as soon as she barges.

"What?" is all I say.

The girl didn't give me a chance to listen to her words!

"I heard Jace kissed you!" she exclaims loudly.

"Oh yeah I forgot about that," I look up at her then slowly return back to reading my book.

"Forgot? How could you forget!?" she asks.

"It just slipped from my mind I guess" I shrug my shoulders.

"How did you even find out anyway?"
I wonder.

"Girls were talking about it." She tells me.

"Of course." I thought.

"Either way. It was on the cheek. No big deal." I say flatly.

"You felt no spark? Nothing?" she questions me

"Nikki we're talking about Jace here. There was no spark involved" I tell her.

"Not one?" she tries again.

"Nope." I calmly say.

"You still haven't answered my questions I first asked you."

"Ughh." I say

"Go home Nikki. It's 10 already and we have school tomorrow." I remind her.

"Fine. See you tomorrow." she tells me.

~jace p.o.v of earlier in the day~

After I kissed her cheek and attempted to flirt with her I walked away.

She is the first girl to ever reject my flirts.

Why?

I'm supposed to be loved by every girl. Why is she not interested?

My thoughts are interrupted when my bestfriend Sean comes up.

" Hey man. How'd it go?" He asks

"Gosh this girl just won't accept me." I say, annoyed.

"You're Jace. Just keep this up and she'll fall inlove with you soon." he tells me trying to give me a boost up.

"I don't know. Maybe this one's different." I begin to wonder.

"What if this one is hard to get."

"Maybe she is." is all he replies.

This is going to be impossible.
