The Beginning of a Grand Journey

"You're down to your last Pokémon now. You have done well to bring me down to my last, but Garchomp won't go down that easy. Not without a fight."

The blonde in front of me stood proud with the shark-like dragon Pokémon roaring so viciously I could feel the reverberation hit me in my chest. She may be the Champion of Sinnoh, but I've conquered three different regions. Kanto, Johto and Hoenn... I may not have chosen the champion title, but I will conquer them all!

"Alright then, looks like this battle will be a close one..."

I held my last Pokéball to my chest. This Pokémon will be the one that counts. We've been through the entirety of Sinnoh together- so my chances of succeeding is absolute!

"Infernape, mow Garchomp down!"

I yelled, throwing the ball in an eruption of flames. Before me was my partner Pokémon in Sinnoh. The flames trailing from its head was set ablaze, scorching the very air around it.

"So your last Pokémon's a fire type. You must know Garchomp both resists it with its dragon and beats it with its ground right?"

Whatever comment she may throw at me, it mattered not. Infernape, I have faith in you. This is just another hurdle we must overcome.

"Are you underestimating my partner? That doesn't sound like you Cynthia."

Her very appearance- that regal black attire and her abominable strength... I admire it, and the thrill gets my blood pumping harder!

"Infernape, let's hit it with Power-up Punch!"

Infernape's grunts silenced as it focused his strength into his iron fists- and not a second passed before that fist met with the Garchomp's stomach.

"We can do better! Garchomp, Dragon Rush!"

Suddenly, it used the momentum from the impact of Infernape's fist to jump away. It's body glew in a draconic blue, and the aura was unbelievably large. That was the strength of her Garchomp. In a raging sweep, its entire body erupted into blue flames of a storming dragon, rushing at Infernape and swallowing him whole.

But this was my chance.

"Infernape, Close Combat!"

I commanded. Amidts the roaring flames, Infernape was fuelled with strength from the Power-up Punch- and as it was sent flying with Garchomp, it came in for a flurry of attacks. Not letting Garchomp rest, it was completely battered by each punch and kick it could throw- and he eventually slammed Garchomp down to the ground with a death blow from both of its fists.

"Good one Infernape!"

I complimented my partner. The dust was thick from that heavy blow Infernape dealt. But as it cleared, it was all over for me.

"Earthquake!"

The ground shook intensely, and large heavy boulders were flung and flattened Infernape- rendering him unable to move. After the Earthquake was done, I saw it. Infernape fainted, laying ontop of the rubble that was caused by Cynthia's incredible Garchomp.

"Looks like you weren't victorious this time, Bennet."

Bennet, that's my name. I've beaten two champions, Lance and Steven. As a traveller, it was my goal to conquer all the regions. It began with Kanto and Johto, I conquered all 16 gyms in the joint regions and the Indigo Plateau. But more than that, I conquered Hoenn and explored Mega Evolution with the help of Steven Stone.

Even though I Mega Evolved my Gyarados, I wasn't able to overcome her Garchomp. She didn't even use Mega Evolution. Her strength is phenomenal. Saying that this was the toughest trainer in the world wouldn't be so Farfetch'd.
