IT HAD BEEN A COUPLE OF DAYS since Drew and Lilia had confessed their love for each other. Not much had really happened since then. Sure, they were a lot more touchy on set and shared a kiss every once in a while, but that was about it. It was currently their day off and Lilia was roaming around their apartment alone since Drew had decided to go run a few errands. Out of nowhere, Lilia's phone began to ring.
"Hello?" she asked as she answered the call. "Hey, Lil." A smile stretched across the girl's face. "What's up, Drewy? How's errands?" She could hear his breathing get faster over the phone. Was he ok? He sounded like he was about to hyperventilate. "Be ready in 20 minutes. Sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt." Now Lilia was just confused. "I mean, ok. But what for?" He took another second to respond to the question. "A date. Our, uh, first one."
A date? I mean, she could've seen that coming. After all, it was obvious that they were heading in the direction of a relationship. "Lil?" Drew called putting. It was then that she realized she hadn't responded. "Oh, shit. Sorry. Um, that sounds great! I'll be ready." Lilia could basically hear the smile in Drew's voice now, "Perfect." He ended the call and Lilia let out a scream of excitement. Without thinking, she ran from her apartment and over to where she knew Madelyn and Madison were. She knocked excitedly on the wooden door, not stopping until Madelyn yanked it open. "Can I help you?" The smile on Lilia's face was enough to tell the girl was excited about something.
"Drew is taking me on a date." This time is was Madelyn who screamed, which drew Madison to the door. "What's I miss?" The girl asked, smiling at the two who were jumping up and down while screaming. "DREW IS TAKING HER ON A DATE!" Madelyn screamed to the girl. All 3 girls now were jumping and cheering, all so excited for the girl. After they cheered for a couple more minutes, they calmed down. Madison then looked to the girl who was getting ready for a date, "When is the date?"
Lilia glanced down to her phone, "Uh, 15 minutes." The two girls eyes went wide and they rushed the girl back to her own apartment to get her ready. "Did he tell you what to wear?" She nodded, walking over to her dresser, "Sweatpants and a long sleeve." Madelyn sat down on the girl's bed. "Ooo, outside." Madison stood beside the nervous girl, reaching into the dresser to grab a pair of grey joggers and a baby blue long sleeve. "Drew loves these on you." Lilia stepped back and raised her eyebrows at her friend. Madison let out a laugh, "I have my ways of knowing things."
In no time, a knock on Lilia's bedroom door caught the 3 girls' attention. "Ready to go?" It was Drew, standing there smiling at the girl. Madison and Madelyn both smiled brightly at the sight before them. Drew was staring at Lilia like she was the only girl in the world. "Y-yeah." She was nervous, but so was he. Her eyes scanned his body, a grey pair of sweatpants and a black long sleeve was what he wore. Lilia's heart skipped a beat, why did he look that good right now? Drew extended his hand to the girl and she gladly took it, bidding goodbye to her friends.
They walked out of the apartment and down to the truck that Drew used for Rafe. "How'd you convince Jonas to let you take Rafe's truck?" Lilia laughed, climbing up into the vehicle when Drew opened the door. "I've got my ways." He walked around the vehicle and got inside. Lilia glanced into the back seat and saw multiple target bags and she couldn't help but wonder what the boy had planned. "It gets better." Drew smirked at the girl who was sat beside him.
He turned the truck on, put it in drive, and then took Lilia's hand in his. Her stomach went crazy at the gesture, it made her unbelievably happy. Drew's stomach was also going crazy, except it was because he was extremely nervous. He was scared of screwing things up. Because of the show, he got his boating license and knew how to drive a boat, but he couldn't help but think he was going to mess something up. "Don't be nervous, Drewy. It's just me." She could feel him shaking. He let out a breathy laugh, "But it's not just us hanging out this time, it's a date. I just don't want to mess anything up."
Lilia brought their hands up and kissed the back of his hand, "It's going to be perfect no matter what. You're my favorite person in the entire world, i'm just happy to be spending time with you." Drew's heart skipped a beat, the love he had for this girl was so real. In the next few minutes Drew parked the truck by one of the locations they always used for filming. "Why're we here?" Lilia questioned. Drew gestured to the HMS Pogue, a boat that was used for the show. "We're taking the Pogue. Like I said, I have my ways with Jonas."
The duo stepped out of the truck and grabbed the target bags, Drew reaching out and intertwining their fingers. "And right in time for sunset too." Lilia was beyond happy right now. Drew, sunset, a boat, and whatever he'd bought from Target... it was bound to be an amazing date. They stepped into the boat and Drew untied it from the dock, starting it up, and driving off. After a few minutes, he stopped and dropped the anchor in. "Blankets and food. How's that sound?" Lilia smiled brightly, helping Drew take the items from the bags. "Perfect!"
An hour or so later, the duo had finished half their snacks and were laying down on the blankets on the bow of the boat. "I wanted our first date to be simple, but special." Lilia rolled over, facing the boy, "Well, you succeeded." He rolled toward her, leaning forward and connecting their lips. He'd never get tired of the feeling of Lilia's lips on his. "I love you so much." He whispered against her lips. She smiled into the kiss, "I love you so much too." They broke away and Lilia rested her head on Drew's chest, his arms wrapping around her torso. "This was perfect, Drew. Thank you so much."
