I woke up in my room in the morning. The room didn't feel like my own, even though everything was like it has always been, at least from the outside. My clothes were hanging off my chair and dust was flying around the place. I decided to get up and get ready. Nothing felt the same anymore. I dressed up, ate breakfast and brushed my teeth like I would usually do, but it seemed different. I was unsure, nervous.
I headed out the door towards my school. It was dark outside. Pitch black. I put on my headphones like always. Chose a fitting playlist and listened to it as I walked. The walk seemed longer than usual. The air was cold and the wind was whistling in my ears. I wished that this day would be over already.
