We didn't know they would come so soon. The aliens, that is. The aliens that come from spaceships. They were hidden among us, and gained our trust. who knew they could look so much like us?
One day I could only hear deafening sirens as civilization was torn apart by them, as the forced their reign of power on the continent. We don't know how far the domination has gotten. We all feel disconnected from the rest of the world. They've built stations on every town. There are so many of them, in their heavy armor and threatening voices that sound like an animal regurgitating its food. We call them the citadel. We never name one individual alien. I've sworn to hide myself away, just like the others, in hopes to live a somewhat normal life. I had hope that as long as we could trust eachother to become strong, nothing could take us down.
