"To be continued" He whispered and I smiled while fixing my locker. I placed pictures of Alex on the door before putting a new set of uniforms on the shelf. I shut the door before walking through to the common room. I grabbed a cup out of the cupboard before pouring myself a cup of coffee and leaning against the counter as shift one piled out and shift two piled in. Kelly soon walked in to the common room freezing at the door and frowning

"What the fuck Jamie?!" He asked loudly

"Surprise?" I replied although it was more of a whisper

"You didn't tell me you got promoted in LA?" I smiled as his face turned into a smile before dropping

"Kelly you dare" I warned and he shrugged

"Dare what?" He asked innocently

"That's your I'm going to attack my twin face" He shrugged walking over as I ran behind the counter. Kelly stood in front of the counter

"Where's Alex?" He asked

"With Cindy," Kelly nodded, pouring himself a cup of coffee. I sat down at the long table as Kelly sat next to me as everyone else was arguing about who can cook

"Jamie can cook" Kelly volunteered me and I shook my head

"Pretty sure that's why we had candidates and just for the record. I hate my twin" I hummed

"Common room" Boden announced and we walked into the common room. I stood in the back in between Kelly and Matt.

"So we all know Jamie Severide by now. Unfortunately that now means we have two reckless Severides in the same firehouse. She is also the Lieutenant on truck making her second in command" I waved a little
"And I know you will all treat her like a sister because if you don't it will be Severide you all have to deal with. Okay that's all dismissed" Everyone laughed and Kelly sent me a look.

"Truck time to clean out the truck" Matt declared and we walked out. I just made myself familiar with where everything was again and we walked back inside. Kelly was sat in his quarters working and I sat down on his bed

"Kelly what's wrong with you?" I asked and didn't even look at me

"Nothing" He shrugged it off still writing

"Kelly don't you dare lie to me" I warned walking over

"I'm not" He shrugged

"Kelly, I can see the pain on your face. I grew up with you. I was there for you when Shay died" I reminded him and he shrugged yet again. I was now growing annoyed

"Jamie just leave it" He raised his voice a bit and I stepped back

"I won't leave it. I'll come back later when you're in a better mood" I turned around to open the door as Cruz was opening the door

"Lieutenant's. There's someone here for you both"

"Take a message" I demanded and he shook his head

"You might want to see this one" He suggested as Kelly and I turned to each other with a shrug. I doubt Cindy would bring Alex over just now. Kelly got out and we walked to the apparatus floor. What I didn't see was Matt trying to warn us. I paused as we opened the door to reveal the one and only Jennifer Sheridan

"Jamie?" She questioned

"Mom?" Kelly and I asked at the same time. We walked over to her and gave her a hug

"Jamie, when did you get back to Chicago?" She asked and I glanced at Kelly

"Like two days ago. When did you get in?" I asked
