Marinette sat down on the sofa and went onto Bridgette's laptop.
"Hey Marinette, have you seen my... oh. Settled in already?" asked Bridgette, coming out of her bedroom.
"Sorry B. Looking for a job," explained Marinette, typing on the keyboard quickly.
"Okay. Well, I'm going out. I have a shift at the office. I'll be home by 10. Help yourself to the food... but not all of it," said Bridgette, putting a coat on. She glanced back at her cousin before leaving the apartment.
Marinette scrolled through websites before coming across an interesting website.
"Why do you need a job?" asked Tikki, coming from Marinette's purse.
"Because I need to help Bridgette out. And I might as well since I don't have an education," explained Marinette, reading what it was about.
"You're 14. No one is gonna take you in," said Tikki with a sigh.
"They might. Looking for a talented singer. Between the age range of 13 and 18. If 18, once you turn 19, you can be signed onto the adult agency of us. Enter a form below and meet us at New York's Central Park on Tuesday, where we will have a studio waiting for your audition. Come with a song prepared," read Marinette.
"You're not serious?" scoffed Tikki.
"Dead serious. I might sing Into the Unknown. I am a huge Disney fan," said Marinette, thinking aloud.
"What would you do if you got in?" asked Tikki. "You've wanted to be a fashion designer for ages."
"I know. I still do... but... I used to always want to be a singer. Maybe now I have the chance?" suggested Marinette.
"Whatever makes you happy," said Tikki with a smile.
Marinette entered in a form and looked at the date.
"Today is Friday. The thing is Tuesday. I can wait that long," said Marinette excitedly, as she shut down the laptop. She went onto Instagram and saw her best friend's recent posts.
Nino posted a picture of his headphones with the caption: The music I hate the most is the one my best friend loves. So I am listening to it.
Alya posted several pictures. One of Chat Noir and Queen Bee with the caption: Where's Ladybug?
Another picture of her seat and the one next to her which was empty saying: Made a terrible mistake today.
Another one with Nino that said: He is super depressed. Both missing someone and regretting things.
And then she wrote a post that said:
Hey guys. So some of you are asking why me and my friends are regretting things. Well, my whole class made this mistake to believe a bunch of rumours. And that's when things went downhill. We ended up like the person who started those rumours and bullied her. We stooped to such a level and it drove the girl to leave Paris forever and start a new life. So here's my message for you. Think of the one person you think you could never spend the rest of your life without. And once you have that person, never let them go. Never bully them over rumours. And never, I mean never, drive them to depression. Because then you have betrayed them. And I am suffering the consequences of my actions. As is the rest of my class. As is the person behind the rumours. So whether your person that you can't spend the rest of your life without is your best friend, your boyfriend, your cousin, your girlfriend, whatever. Don't give up on them!
Marinette went onto her inbox and saw a lot of her friends messaging her. She then went onto settings and deleted her account.
"Why'd you do that for?" asked Tikki.
"Because I don't want anyone finding me. So for that, I'm going to start afresh," explained Marinette.
She typed in the username Miraculous_Krystal and entered in a password.
"My new name is Krystal," said Marinette with a smile.
"Ok. I like how you added Miraculous to it," said Tikki, perching on Marinette's shoulder.
"Thank you. It was very imaginative of me," said Marinette, fiddling with her earrings. "First thing tomorrow morning. I need to go to the salon. I have to change my look. Maybe I could become a brunette? Or a blonde? Or even have red hair? Or I could have no hair? Oh who am I kidding!"
Tikki chuckled at her owner's excitement.
The next day, Bridgette dropped her cousin off at the salon.
"Bye Mari. I'll pick you up at 2. You have enough money right?" said Bridgette with a wave.
"B. I have more than enough. The whole of my parents money went to me when they died, remember?" said Marinette with a chuckle.
"Oh right. Bye!" said Bridgette sadly as she drove away.
"First stop, hair salon," whispered Marinette as she ran inside. She found a hairdressers and went inside.
"Hey there miss. How may I help?" asked a woman behind a counter.
"Hi. I was hoping I could have an... uh... appointment to dye my hair?" asked Marinette nervously.
"Of course. That'll be 23 dollars," said the woman. Marinette paid her money and took a seat.
"What colour?" asked the woman.
"I honestly have no clue. I'm trying to change my look completely so that I'm almost unrecognisable," explained Marinette with a nervous chuckle.
"I think I can work with that information. Eyes closed please. I'm going to make you dazzling," said the woman with a smirk.
After she was done, Marinette admired herself in the mirror.
"Thank you so much!" said Marinette with a little squeal.
"No problem my dear. Now, to make it permanent, don't wash your hair for approximately 3 days. Then you can continue washing it to your normal routine," explained the woman.
Marinette left and went to a cafe to grab something to eat. She ate a croissant and had an Oreo Frappuccino. After that, she went to a boutique and bought herself a whole new wardrobe. At exactly 2, Bridgette showed up and took Marinette home.
They placed Marinette's new clothes in suitcases.
"I wish I could put them somewhere else instead of suitcases," said Bridgette sadly.
"B, you've done more than enough to help me. I promise, as soon as I have enough money, I'll be out of your hair," said Marinette with a chuckle, as she sat down on the sofa and got out her sketchbook.
"You looked almost unrecognisable earlier today. But then I saw your eyes and knew that you were Mari the crazy," said Bridgette, sitting next to Marinette and ruffling her newly blonde hair.
"Well that was the whole point. To be unrecognisable. Also, can I add you on Instagram?" said Marinette with a chuckle.
"I thought I already did," said Bridgette with a frown.
"Oh yeah, I deleted it so I could start my new life," explained Marinette. Bridgette shook her head with a smile and got out her phone.
And before she even knew it, Tuesday was knocking on Marinette's doorstep.
Part 3 and it is maybe the final part to Flashback (not sure) coming soon!!!
