I walk outside with my hella new, hella uneven, up-to-the-bottom-of-my-ears-hella-short hair.
"Holy Shist, Laura! What happened to your hair?!" Daniel exclaims, walking up the sidewalk towards my house.
"Uh, I cut it?" I put as much of the "stating the obvious" tone into my voice as possible. I do suddenly feel hella self-conscious, though. "Why, does it make me look hella sucky?"
"No! You look beautiful! I-I mean, fine! You look fine." He coughs a little. Dude. Did..... Did he just............?
"Uhm!" I cough a little because that come out hella to high-pitched. "Ahem thanks! Thanks, so, um,"
"We should get in the car, yea Joshua?" Sara saves me for the bajillionth time.
"Uh, yea, sure.... Um, what was your name again, little girl?" Joshua mistakenly says.
"First, do not ever call me a 'little girl' again, comprendo?" She says tiredly and Joshua nods. "Second, I'm Sara, this is Laura," She points to me and I wave. "That's Cecilia, and that's Daniel." She points to each of them, then giggles quietly and whispers something under her breath that sounds like "Laniel".
I blush a little, knowing that she whispered Daniel and I's ship name.
Sara recovers and continues. "And that's-- wait, where's Joe? Where did he-- AGH!!" She yelled that last part because Joe jumped out behind her and into her face. "Joe! Don't do that! Grr. Anyways, yea, that's Joe. We should probably get in the car now."
As we head to the car, I can't help but think about the adventures ahead and the events of the day.
