EVERLY JAMESON GREW UP on the ark. The ark was all she had known for the first twenty-three years of her life. And then the hundred happened. All the juvenile delinquents were sent to the ground (alongside one protective brother and another determined girlfriend) to see if it was survivable. The ark was dying, and by the time the hundred had gotten contact with them they'd already made their decision. And so, Chancellor Jaha sent them all to the ground.
Everly Jameson was in for a rude awakening when she got to the ground. She thought working the guard in space was hard, but she was nothing against thousands of grounders and villainous mountain men. But next came the City of Light and Everly was no match for everything she thought A.L.I.E. had to offer.
Life with no pain was an offer Everly couldn't refuse and she found herself lost, the AI using her as leverage against the friends she had made. When Clarke Griffin terminated her, Everly's pain came back tenfold and when she broke through she found herself in the arms of her childhood nemesis turned acquaintance, Bellamy Blake.
But just because A.L.I.E. was gone did not mean they could start over. The nuclear power plants were melting and in six months' time, a death wave would hit them, taking the last of the human race with them. Alliances are formed but where Clarke thought Roan was to be trusted, Everly kept her suspicion.
So, between trying to come to terms with her newfound feelings for her ex-enemy and trying to figure out exactly who Roan's second, Echo, really was beneath all that war paint - the last thing on Everly's mind is dying.
Which is ironic, considering they're about to plunge headfirst into the literal apocalypse.
