For a moment, Oikawa saw the young girl that wiped away his tears as she said her goodbyes, but different. The way she carried herself, the smile on her lips, all a little different.

As Taiji approached, Iwaizumi felt like he was meeting someone new, but yet so familiar, like a distant dream that you don't quite remember.

"It's been a while, hasn't it Tooru, Hajime?"

Taiji smiled at the two taller boys. Her heart was a little heavy as she almost didn't recognize her two best friends, they looked so much more mature in person.

"You never said she was pretty, Oikawa!" A boy with pinkish-brown hair threw his arm around the stunned male, "My name is Hanamaki, nice to meet you Taiji."

A mischievous glint sparked in Taiji's eyes, "Makki-kun! Oikawa has told me so much about you!"

Hanamaki found himself blushing a little at the way Taiji said his nickname, it was way cuter compared to when Oikawa says it.

Turning to the messy-haired boy next to Hanamaki, she responded similarly, "Then you must be Mattsun-kun!"

A similar response was heard from Matsukawa, with his ears slightly tinted pink.

As Taiji went on greeting the rest of the boys with her lively personality, making all of them equally as excited or a blushing mess.

As the group left the train station, Oikawa suggested that they play volleyball together, as he wanted to see how good Taiji was at playing.

"W-what position do you play, Taiji Senpai?" Kindaichi piped up from behind the group.

Taiji chuckled a little "I play wing spiker."

Once they reached the gym, Taiji went on to change into her gym clothes, as the boys of Seijoh were talking about how cute she was.

"Oikawa, Is she single?" Matsukawa nudged her two best friends.

Iwaizumi and Oikawa started glaring at their team, "Don't get any ideas,"

"Unfortunately, I'm unavailable." A cheery voice rang out.

Taiji laughed as she put down her bag, her hair pulled into a loose ponytail, "Thanks for asking though."

As they started to play, Oikawa noticed the female captain analyzing everyone's playing patterns. Once she got a grasp of their habits, she immediately exploited them. Like pulling feints on Kindaichi whenever he focused on stopping blocks and making Kunimi run to catch her wipes.

"She's like a jack of all traits!" Kindaichi awed while they took a break.

"Jack of all trades, Kindaichi," Kunimi corrected, "Not traits."

On the other end, the third-years were talking about nonsense.

"-But if there was a spider would you kill it?"

"Of course!" Oikawa placed his hands on his hips, "Bugs are gross."

"You're just a wimp, Shittykawa." Iwaizumi glared at the male captain.

"WIMPYKAWA." Matsukawa snorted, which earned a high five from the ace and a snicker from the female captain.

"Rude!" Oikawa whined, "You agree with me, right, Tai-chan?"

The female captain snorted, "I think bugs are pretty cool, Tooru."

Dramatically, Oikawa started complaining that Taiji had betrayed him, forgetting the adventures that they had when they were in primary school.
