"Zelda! It's so nice to see your shining face again!" Mr.Marks greets me as I enter the classroom for English. I smile at his kind words as I head towards my desk.

"It's nice to see you too. How've you been?"

"I've been wonderful, and yourself?" He responds.

"I've been-alright." I pause in between my answer. He casts me an odd glance but doesn't question me. I take my seat and await for both Corey and Belle to enter the room.

Belle arrives first, confidently strutting towards her desk. She always seemed to walk that way, her confidence always beamed off of her. She held her head high, and her heels higher.

"Hey Belle," I say as I approach her. "You know, you never told me what happened after the fight with Oliver. Did you get punished?"

"Yea I did," she replies, flinging a section of hair over her shoulder. "I have a week of after-school detentions, my first one was yesterday. Max has in school suspension for two weeks, poor baby. I even explained that Oliver and his stupid friends were being a threat to you and they didn't even considerate it, imbeciles." She concluded with a scoff.

"Man that really sucks to hear Belle. I feel really bad for Max, he doesn't deserve it." Before she can respond, the bell rings and I walk back to my seat, every student waiting for Mr.Marks instructions.

"Ok class," he begins. "As you know, you have that scene to still do, but that will be done outside of school. For today, we will read more of the book and analyze the characters more and understand Shakespearean language. Now everyone, take out your books." Mr.Marks then grabs his own book while everyone else rummages through their backpacks.

"Ok who wants to read- oh yes Corey?" The class turns their heads to look at the boy.

"Um, I-I forgot my book." He stammers. Mr.Marks shows a face of disappointment.

"Anyone willing to share their book?"

"I will." I immediately volunteer. Mr.Marks gratefully smiles, but that twinkle in his eye returned and goosebumps run up and down my body. Corey rises out of his seat and shuffles over to my seat, grabbing a chair and sitting close to my body. Mr.Marks begins to pick people to read act one, scene five of the play.

"Can you see it?" I whisper to him. He looks at me with an unreadable look and nods his head. I huff out a breath in slight frustration. This boy is so hard to read it drives me nuts. "Hey, to practice for our scene, would you like to come over to my house instead?" I whisper once more.

"Um maybe we can, I would need you to pick me up though, and drive me home," he responds with a whisper as well, looking shy as usual because of the request.

"That's fine don't worry, at least we won't be bothered this time." At the mention of the incident, his expression becomes stone cold and his eyes become empty almost. "Hey, I didn't mean-"

"It's fine, don't worry about it." He tries to reassure me, but the guilt was already lying in my stomach. The rest of the period we decipher Shakespearean language and people read out loud the parts of the scene.

"Alright everyone, there is five minutes left of class, I think we're done for today." Everyone packs up and begins their usual chatter with each other. Belle walks over to me as I sit in my seat, waiting for the class to finish.

"As we were saying," she continues with a smile. I smile back out of instinct since her smile is contagious. "It is unfair how Max was treated, but at least we were able to damage that stupid posse."

"Yea I really have to thank him. You're really lucky to date a guy like him." She blushes and gives a small smile at my compliment.

"I know," she then giggles like a little school girl, causing me to burst out in laughter. The bell rings and everyone crowds the door way. As soon as I make it out of the door, I turn to walk to my next class. In the process, I almost collide with someone.
