Chapter 5

He probably blames himself for my weak heart. Kasi namana ko 'tong heart condition ko sa side nila. But I swear I never saw it that way. I love my dad because he takes good care of me and treats me like a princess.

No one is to blame here. As cliché as it sounds, everything happens for a reason.

God never gives us what we can't handle. But at times, He gives us more than what we can handle because if we can handle everything, we wouldn't call on Him. Baka hindi tayo lumapit sa kaniya kasi feeling natin kaya namin natin on our own.

Pinilit kong ipikit 'yung mga mata ko. Itutulog ko na lang 'to. Tomorrow might be a heavy day for me.

Kinabukasan, dad dropped me off to school as usual, "Wala munang magpapagod ha. Para maging accurate 'yung results sa tests mo mamaya sa check-up. I'll pick you up after class. God bless, anak! Galingan mo, like always!"

Pagpasok ko pa lang sa school gate, may cute na batang lumapit sa'kin. I think he's around six to seven years old. Grade 1 siguro, "Good morning ate! May nagpapabigay po." Inabot niya lang sa'kin 'yung rose na hawak niya and immediately left.

There's a note that says, "Good morning, my cheerleader! — your MVP"

It's kinda childish, but cute rin naman. Napangiti ako sa pakulo ni Chase. I've been anxious ever since I woke up dahil sa check-up ko mamaya. This is the first time I smiled today.

Tumunog 'yung phone ko.

Tatlo lang ang classes namin tuwing Thursday compared to the other school days. Ito 'yung pinakamaluwag sa schedule namin. We're done with Oral Communication and ICT, last class na namin ay PE. My least favorite subject. Gustuhin ko man ang PE, ayaw niya naman akong gustuhin pabalik. Grr.

Nagpalit na lahat ng PE uniform except me. Naipaalam na ako ni dad na iexcuse ako for today's class kasi may check-up ako mamaya. T'yaka magppractice lang naman sila sa kaniya-kaniya nilang sports for intrams e wala naman akong sinalihan.

Lahat kami nagpalit na ng PE uniform for our last subject, PE. Well, except for one. Si Avrey. Bakit kaya? Is she not feeling well today? Hindi ba siya aattend ng PE class?

Nasa open field kami ngayon kasi dito 'yung ibang sports. Magbibigay lang raw muna ng instructions si Sir, then 'yung basketball players, pupunta na dun sa court maya-maya.

Lumapit sila Avrey at Krystal kay Sir. Mukhang may tinanong si Krystal at tumango lang si Sir. Tapos umalis sila ng field. Sa'n sila pupunta? Sa clinic ba? I guess Avrey is really feeling unwell today.
