Chapter 30 ~ We didn't start the fire

Start from the beginning

Steve plays the music on his phone.

(Play song here)

"Tony Stark, Iron Man

Nick Fury has a plan

Big shock, Pepper Potts

Arc reactor core

Asgard, ancient war

Loki and his brother Thor

Bruce Banner, radiation, transformation, roar

Coulson and Maria Hill

They're the Agents of SHIELD

Clint Barton, Hawkeye

Black Widow, Russian spy

Captain Rogers, World War II

Bucky, Peggy, I love you

First Avenger, here we go

Everyone, assemble!

We didn't start the fire

It was always burning since the world's been turning

We didn't start the fire

No, we didn't light it, but we're trying to fight it," I sing for them.

They all look at me in shock except for Steve since he helped me plan this.

I finish singing the rest of the song.

"What—How...?" Bucky starts.

"Paw Paw Steve helped me come up with a song so I can remember your adventure," I explain.

They all look at Steve. He just shrugs. "It's catchy."

Mommy smiles at me. "You did great sweetie. Now let's eat so we can go."

When we all finish our breakfast we hop in the car and go. I'm really excited to see everyone. Every year we all come together to honor Tony and Natasha. It's the one day of the year we can actually get everybody together.

When we arrive I'm the first one out of the car.

"James!" The voice of Morgan Stark calls to me.

I run over to her and hug her. "Hey Morgan."

She picks me up and spins me around and I squeal in delight. Once she puts me down I start running again. A big open field just for me is what I like.

I find Rocket and I run around him in circles, causing his fur to get fluffy and poof.

"(Y/n), Roy!" Rocket yells. "Get your kid. Look what he did to my fur!"

I stop running, standing by Steve. He picks me up and places me behind his head, one leg on either of his shoulders.

I snicker at my masterpiece and everyone laughs at his fur.

"Oh come on, Rocket. He's just having fun." Quill says. He comes over to me and gives me a fist pump. "Nice job, kid." He whispers to me.

Rocket grumbles as he pats his fur down and Max helps him by licking it and trying to pat it down with his paws.

"Hey Pepper." Steve greets as he walks up to her.

"Pep!" I say.

"Hey Tony." She greets. "Hey Steve."

Morgan comes up to Pepper. "Hey Mom, can I use my repulsors outback?" She asks.

"As long as you use the targets set up for you." Pepper answers.

Morgan nods with a huge grin on her face. "Tony, you wanna come?"

I look at Steve. "Can I Paw Paw?"
Steve chuckles and puts me down. "Sure thing."

I run and get Morgan's repulsors, handing them to her and we both head outback. Morgan hands me a repulsor and she has another and we both blast the targets but that gets boring eventually. I look over and see Rocket and I smirk. I nudge Morgan and point to Rocket and she seems to get what I'm saying. We both send blasts to Rocket and he jumps.

"Hey!"

We laugh as we continue blasting in his direction. It's fun seeing him dance.

"Tony!"

I jump at the sound of my mother's voice.

I look up at her with an innocent smile on my face.

"Yes?" I answer.

"Have you written your speech yet? Remember you said you wanted to make one this year." Mom reminds me.

I take the repulsor off my hand and hand it to Morgan. "Shoot I forgot. I'll write it real quick."

I run off into the house and find a desk, a piece of paper, and a pencil. I stare at the paper as I start to write.

'Now you may be asking, "Why did you tell us this story? We already lived through it." Well this is how I saw the story through my eyes when I was told it. Fifteen years ago something tragic happened. People lost the ones they loved. Five years later that all changed again and in order to get everybody back we lost two people that were loved by this family. I've never met Natasha and Tony and I never will... I mean unless I time travel but that's not the point. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't be here today. I wouldn't exist. Natasha knew you guys needed the last stone to bring everybody back and gave her life for that stone. And Tony, he was the man that snapped his fingers, ending it all, knowing there was only one shot at taking down Thanos. That's why my mom named me after him. I wish I could have met them but life doesn't always roll as we plan. Morgan, I bet your father would be proud of the woman you have become today. And know that you will have me, Peter, and all the future generation of kids that are becoming heroes, to save this world. Natasha and Tony will always be in our hearts and will be missed because we all love you 3000.'

The End

And the series has finally come to an end. Thank you for reading and commenting because I loved reading all of the comments. It was fun writing all of this but don't worry I'll possibly be writing more. I have a new book out called 'The Junior Detective' so if you like Detroit: Become Human I would recommend you read that although updates will be a little slow since I am still in the process of writing it. Anyway, thank you all so much! Bye!
