(Y/N) and Will sit across from each other in the dusty, tightly enclosed crawl space. (Y/N)'s right leg rests bent against the wall of the crawl space while her left is snug between both of Will's.
They have been listening to nothing but their labored breathing and the muffled voices from the other world. They don't know who was talking but there definitely was a newer, deeper voice. Maybe someone is going to come and save them. Wishful thinking is all they have.
(Y/N)'s stomach grumbles. She would be embarrassed, but at this point her and Will are both struggling the hardest they'd ever struggled before. He's not going to care if her body makes a completely natural noise. Besides, both of their stomach's have been growling for about a day. Well what's felt like a day. There isn't really any concept of time in this dimension. Both children are both starving and dehydrated. (Y/N) learned in Mr. Clarke's science class that a human can go more than three weeks without food. But, water is a different story. They can only go three days without water. After that they're as good as gone.
(Y/N) licks her chapped lips, realizing how thirsty she is. She knows that she shouldn't think about that right now, it'll only make things worse. But, now it's on her mind and won't be leaving without a distraction.
"Will?"
"Yeah?" Will lifts his head from his shoulder, he was attempting to sleep but his efforts didn't succeed.
"What happens...what happens if we die here?"
"Huh?" Will feels a slight prick in his heart. He doesn't want to think about that, but he knows (Y/N) is just as worried as he is. She wants to talk about it so that she can get reassurance from him, she did the same thing before their science fair presentation.

"Will?"
"Yeah?" (Y/N) was looking down at the glossy gym floor and pinching at the fabric of her pants.
"What if...What if I mess up?" The girl looked up at the boy sitting next to her on an old classroom chair.
"What do you mean?"
"Well..." (Y/N) looked back to the ground and put on a small smile to hide her nervousness, "I know I'm gonna mess this up for you guys...And I really want us to win again this year. But, I know if someone asks me a question about the project I'm gonna freeze up or say the wrong thing or...or I'm gonna--"
"Hey," Will giggled and tapped (Y/N) on the arm, "You're being silly."
"Yeah..."
"You're going to be fine," Will dropped his head down to look (Y/N) in the eyes. She looked up from the ground to meet Will's eyes. He continued to use a tone of lightheartedness, "Besides! You did most of the research while Dustin was goofing off."
"Just Dustin?" (Y/N) sassily raised an eyebrow and Will grinned and flickered his eyes away for a second.
"Okay, we all were," (Y/N) giggled at the boy's false tone of defeat, "So, you probably know more about it than the rest of us do!"
"I don't know."
"Yes, you do!" Will took (Y/N)'s hands, "We can do this, okay?"
"Yeah, okay," (Y/N)'s anxiety still remained but it definitely had decreased.
"And if you get uncomfortable we can step in! The volcano totally rocks! We're going to win this thing!"
The Party confidently answered the questions thrown at them and showed off the project they spent a little too much time on. Unfortunately, they placed third, but Mr. Clarke said it was totally political.

"We aren't going to die," Will says faking confidence.
"Will..." (Y/N) doesn't believe that Will is actually positive with his statement.
"We aren't going to die," Will emphasizes every word.
"Okay," (Y/N) says apathetically. Will doesn't like that his friend seems to be giving up, that's nearly the worst thing someone can do in this situation. Although nobody's every really been in this situation.
Will wishes that he could listen to his favorite song right now, it always helps him feel better. He puts his head down on his arms which rest on his knees and the boy starts to hum "Should I Stay or Should I Go". He hums the chorus a couple of times before (Y/N) joins in.
(Y/N) begins to quietly sing the song and Will looks up at her from his crouched position. "Well, come on and let me know, should I stay or should I go?" Will joins in with his friend.
"Should I stay or should I go now? Should I stay or should I go now?" Minuscule smiles grow at the edges of the children's lips, "If I go, there will be trouble. And if I stay it will be double," Will begins to slowly sway side to side, "So come on and let me know," (Y/N) bops her head, "Should I stay or should I go?"
The air seems to static around them, but the two barely notice, it was just another muffled sound in this dimension. Little did they know, Mike and his telekinetic friend, who's camping out in his basement, have just tuned into the two's duet from the other side.
