i'm going to say only ~20 people can play because any more than that will make it pretty hard to catch the mafia in a reasonable amount of time. anyone can sign up, but first priority goes to people i know! ( the only criteria for that is that we both follow each other and have interacted at least a couple of times, that's it lol )
the way this works, for anyone who hasn't played before :
i'm going to be the god ( or storyteller, whatever you call it ) and am going to choose one person in pms to be the mafia and one person in pms to be the angel. every night ( which is every round ) the mafia will have a chance to kill someone and the angel will have a chance to save someone. if they choose the same person, that person doesn't die, otherwise the person the mafia chooses is dead. once the mafia and angel have chosen, i'll publish a chapter telling you who is dead ( if i have time, i'll make a whole story out of it ). in the comments of the chapter, all the townspeople ( aka everyone ) can discuss who they think the mafia is, and vote on it. everyone will have a chance to defend themselves if someone suspects them to convince everyone else that they are not the mafia. the person with the most votes gets killed, regardless of if they are guilty or not. the game ends when the mafia is caught or everyone but the mafia is dead
