The 100 managed to save the world from Praimfaya before it had even happened. Clarke can hardly believe that they had actually succeeded, but after a week and half the black rain ceases. The entire camp had been dancing and singing in the rain once they had realized it was safe. A group of delinquent teens had managed to stop entire nuclear plants from failing again themselves, no adults, no scientists. Just hard work, brainpower, and many arguments in between. Now, everything seems to be easy in comparison. The camp needs to be rebuilt after Ilians fire? They can do it in three weeks. They need to find a solution for storing water? Raven and Wick already have three different plans. Of course they're cocky, anyone would be after saving mankind. They did what no one could do one hundred years before them.

Eventually the high of saving the world would wear off. Work still had to be done, food had to be found, and deals had to be made with the grounders. The camp had seemingly forgotten that they had been on the brink of war before praimfaya, but Clarke hadn't forgotten. She knew that Azgeda and Trikru wouldn't accept them as the thirteenth clan easily, but she knew that Roan had more power now than he had before. After they had experienced the black rain first hand, they all began to believe in what he had been saying. They followed orders with ease and structure fell back into place, it reminded Clarke of when Lexa had been the Commander. She just hopes the 'almighty king' would continue being just as willing and forgiving as Lexa had been. Hopes that he won't buckle under the pressure of the clans ambassadors. They couldn't stand a war anytime soon.

Three short weeks later, Roan sends a rider to quietly request Clarkes presence in a hidden meeting spot. Arkadia has finally started rebuilding the Ark, hunting, and daily life. It took a bit of a push, but things began to fall back into a steady schedule. So, when a grounder-one from Azgeda in particular-shows up unannounced, everyone takes notice. Kane orders them to resume their work, but Clarke can feel the heavy glances watching as she talks to Roans rider. The man tells her not to bring anyone and that he and Roan are unarmed, then offers her a ride to the meeting destination. The ride isn't extremely long, but upon arrival Clarke can tell that he had scouted the place well. The cave is miles away from Arkadia and on the edge of Trikru land, the perfect hiding spot wedged deep into the green woods. He's a smart man.

"Wanheda, good to see you again." Roan greets her. The man gives her a smirk, seeming to be genuinely pleased with her presence.

"It's always nice to see you, King of Azgeda. Especially outside of Polis," Clarke tells him with a small smile of her own. She genuinely likes the king and may even consider him a friend.

"The greenery is much more appealing than stone walls and watching dead bodies being cleared,"

Clarke admires the white flowers creeping up the cave wall and hums in agreement, "You picked a beautiful place."

"I thought you'd also enjoy the beauty of this place. The flowers survived the black rain," Roan gives her a smile for the first time, "But you know we aren't here just for the flowers,"

"We're here because Azgeda still won't accept Skaikru, aren't we?"

"They're very reluctant, Clarke. I've managed to push them in the right direction, but they're only going along with it because you saved us."

"But otherwise, they still want us dead." Clarke adds. She lets out a frustrated sigh.

"I think they'd have both of our heads if they knew I set up a secret meeting with you. That should tell you something," Roan watches her. And then frowns, another expression Clarke has never seen the royal man do. She wonders if he's genuinely sympathetic or saddened, it'd add more depth to him.
