" Honey, are you sure we are doing the right thing?" asked a man who seems like 5'6 tall. He looks like he was in his late 30s.

"Yes, this is the only choice we have right now"

Ringring

"Honey, can you go get the door", a woman yelled from the kitchen. She looks like she was in her late 20s.

"Just a moment", the man yelled back and turn his attention back to the child in front of him," wait here Maera, I'll be right back"

The man went and get the door. 3 men who seem like 5'11 tall standing at his door entrance. If he were to describe them. The 3 men all wear black, half of their face is cover with a black mask but you could still see their eyes.

"Honey, who's at the door?", the man's wife asked as she walks toward where her husband was standing, " Who are you, people?

"Forgive our manners, we are sent by the government to make a proposal."

"And what is the proposal?", the wife curiously asked.

"Either you hand us your child. Or I guarantee you that there will be consequences, one of them is execution." One of the men commanded. His eyes seem emotionless. Telling by the way he spoke, he sounds cold and distant.

The married couple eye widen in fear, "Why do you need Maera? What are you planning to do with our child?"

"We're bringing back what believe to be just a myth"

"And does our daughter have anything to do with it?", the husband spoke up.

"Enough with the question, we have no patience. Bring forth the child in a week or I repeat, there will be consequences and one of them involved an execution", the same man voiced.

"There's must be another wa-

"There is no other way! This is the only way. It is a matter of death or life. You heard what the man said, surely you don't want to die to do you? I know I'm being selfish right now and it isn't fair to Maera but what choice do we have?"

The man sighed in defeat, " Iknow, I just thought there might be another way you know? For all 3 of us to live..."

"It's going to be no use anyway, they sure will still going to track us down no matter what"

The man hesitant for a moment, "I'll go call Maera and tell her that we are leaving this town, she can't know that we are going to give her up to the government"

His wife nodded as he went upstairs to call on Maera.

"Maera, honey, come on we're leaving this town",

The six-year-old stop whatever she was doing and asked her father,"Where will we go then?"

"Somewhere...", Her father paused and continued, "...far"

"Oh..okay", Maera mumbled.

"
Is everything ready?", The child's mother yelled from downstairs.

"Yeah, we're ready", Her father yelled back downstairs. As they settled in their car, the family was off for a 1-hour drive to the given location.

The car ride was silent. Everywhere was surrounded by trees, and just a few miles ahead, an abandoned house came to view. They were practically in the middle of the forest, just like what the location said on the map. It was already 10 pm when they arrive at their given location. The car stopped just in front of the house as the married couple and the six-year-old child step out of the car. There, 3 men were already waiting for them. Maera's father remembered them to be the same men who came to their doorstep last week. They move from there where they are standing and walk towards the married couple and her child.

"Greetings again, I'm sure you remember our little proposal. I assume you're here, you made up your mind?"

The married couple nodded.

Maera looks between her parents while holding her beloved teddy bear. "Mom? Dad? Who are they?"

Her mom kneeled and face her daughter," Maera, know that we love you and we didn't mean for this to happen but we have no choice. I'm sorry, we're sorry Maera. I hope that in the future when we meet again, you will forgive us. But then again, I don't think you would. We're sorry it has to end this way, this is our last and final goodbye Maera, till we meet again", Her mom sighed as she wiped her own tears. She stood up and along with her husband as they made their way to the car.

Maera's couldn't help but cry, are they giving me up? Why are they leaving?

"Wait! MOM! DAD! PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME! TAKE ME WITH YOU PLEASE!" Maera yelled and tried to run after her parents but a strong grip stops her from doing so. She struggled to remove herself from the men's grip as she weeps to ask them to let her go and let her go with her parents. But the men refused, still holding her in place as she thrashed and struggled in their grip.

MOM!DAD!
