The moment after he woke up, Jisung freaked out when he couldn't find your familiar figure beside him. You weren't nowhere to be seen around your shared bedroom. "Y/n?" He tucked the blanket, wore those cute pink slippers that you bought for him, and made his way out of the bedroom. He still couldn't find you on the TV room, instead he heard some noise from the kitchen. He took a slumberous steps to the kitchen, hoping you were there.

"Y/n." He called you in a sleepy tone, rubbing his eyes when he caught you were doing stuff at the kitchen. "Hey good morning birthday boy. I'm just about to wake you up." You said, still busy preparing a dish. Jisung saw the table already prepared with a lot of food and of course his favorite cake all the time, the cheesecake. "For me?" He asked, eyes wandered around the table. "Of course, dummy. Today is your birthday!" You giggled. You put the last dish on the table as Jisung pulled you to your favorite embrace of him. He put his head on your shoulder. "Eung i'm still sleepy but thank you for the breakfast." He mumbled, eyes already closed. You giggled listened to his drowsy voice. You pulled away from his hug, putting your hands on his squirrel-like cheeks.

"Happy birthday. My lovely. Handsome. Cool. Adorable. Boyfriend."

You said, giving him a peck after every word that you said. He giggled from your pecks before pulling you for a round of kiss. His lips brushed against yours, tasting every sweetness that your lips offered.

It was just a simple birthday breakfast. After Jisung made a wish and blew the candle, you started to had breakfast together. He threw some jokes that made you bursted into laugh and teased you with his cringe flirting that turned you cheeks into cherry colour. You also fed him the cheesecake and he would poked the cream cheese to your nose, earning a giggle from his pretty mouth.

It was all completely fine when a sudden reality hit you. A sadness started to drained into you rather than skating over your skin. It travelled through every cell of your body, reaching the deepest part of your heart, aching it a lot. The sorrow grew more profound each time you looked at Jisung. Your smile started to faded, your eyes got a bit watery.

This sudden change was noticed by Jisung. He knew exactly why you act like that. Instead he just sat there, kept talking about nonsense and funny things that he knew, hoping you would forget this painful reality. He glad you still gave him a small laugh.

Jisung was offered to work with an international composer in America after he graduated from the university in music department with perfect GPA. He almost rejected it considered that you’ll have a long distance relationship. You might feed up your ego by not letting him go. But since you knew that it was his dream job and hoping he’ll have a bright career, you encouraged him to accept the job.
Too bad the departure day was on his birthday. A day when it should be filled with joy and love, must ended up with bitterness and sorrow.

--

Jisung took a glance at you who was standing in a group with his friends, next to the plasma screens of arrival and departure times. He could see you were smiling, enjoying the conversation among them, but he knew that those smile was hiding some pain inside. After finished the check in stuff, he made his way towards them.

“Let’s go to coffee shop after this.” Changbin suggested to the group, some of them were nodded agree.

“Great! We gonna have some fun.” Hyunjin shouted in excitement.

“You guys gonna have fun without me?” Jisung asked, his lips were pouted.

“We’ll always have fun even without you, Jis.” Seungmin answered, clearly teasing him.

“So you guys must be excited that I’ll go right?”

“Extremely excited.”

They were all laughing and Jisung couldn’t help but also laugh. You also chuckled at Seungmin’s joke although your eyes seemed empty. Jisung then turned his head to you. He kept looking at you until you realized that he wanted your attention. He made a small gesture, asking you to follow him. You trailed behind him until he stopped at a certain location where not much people were passing by.

“Be strong.” He said while holding your shoulder. You tried your hardest to put a smile on your face. “You too, Jis. It will be harder for you.” Tears welled up and you quickly turned your head away, avoiding his gaze.

“You are the strongest girl I’ve ever met.”

“Not really. If you talk more, I might cry.”

Jisung’s lips curved into a smile before pulling you into a big hug. “It’s okay to cry. But you only allow to cry in my arms.”

“So I have to go to America first if I want to cry?” You asked in a raspy voice. Your arms hugging him tighter, Jisung didn’t give you an answer, instead he chuckled at your words. He brought his lips closer to your ears.

“I love you y/n. I love you so much.”

A single tears trickled down your cheek.

“Forever. Always. You make me strong.”

More tears trickled down, your shoulders were shaky from the unstoppable crying.  Jisung grabbed your cheeks, wiping the tears away by his thumb. He pulled you forward, pressing his lips to yours. You closed your eyes, feeling every touch from his velvetlike lips, saving it on your long term memory. The kiss was bitter as the reality yet sweet as usual.

An announcement of his flight made you both ended the kiss. It’s time to board the plane. It’s time for the real goodbye. “I gotta go,” He said and you nodded. You both walked hand in hand back towards his friends. They were waving him goodbye, good luck, and so on. He then gave you one last kiss on your forehead.

“Goodbye, Jis. I’ll be waiting for you.” You said. He turned his head and gave you your favorite smile of him. “Don’t worry y/n. I’ll be back really soon.” He bid his last farewell before stepping towards the departure gate.
