"This conversation will be recorded to be later reviewed by the detectives of south carolina. Now, Sir have you read your rights?"
A moment of silence filled the room before he replied.
"Yep."
The officer looked at him before taking a moment to continue.
"Do you understand your charges?"
other moment of silence filled the room before he once again replied with a simple, "Yes."
[March 19th 1994]
Cold. That word was the only word consistently going through my head that night. As i walked the guilt flooded my head, the words of the news lady from the six o'clock news ringed in my ears. "Rock hill authorities are warning residence about a new found serial killer lurking the streets. please stay at home, in doors, locked away from hours 8pm till atleast 3:30am. now with Jill with the weather."
I laughed at my thoughts, 'Even if i did go missing who in my life would notice? maybe my dad after 13 years will reach out. heh- like shit he would do that..'
As i neared my street a noticed a 1985 Vauxhall Cavalier slowly following behind me. It had a dirty grey paint job which was obviously not at all a professional job. I watched as he then sped up and parked infront of me. The driver got out and light himself a cigarette. I smirked thinking he was going to pull something so i walked up to him and he looked at me confused.
"Hey man, can i get a cigarette of you?" i asked and he slowly pulled out one from his packet, he handed it to me and i gladly took it. i leaned on his car next to him and took out my lighter. i didnt smoke often but i kept one on me just out of habit and for those crackheads who would ask. you know, those ones that if you dont give them a light they stand there and abuse you until one, the police show up or two, they dont want to be late for their fix. Yeah, those ones.
After almost finishing my cigarette i finally turned to take a real look at the guy, good build, dark hair, greenish brown eyes and one of those 'I feel cool when im wearing this' kind of shirts. yeah this guy definitely seemed off but i decided to try and talk to him seeing that he may be planning my death at that very moment.
"so Mr...Mr sketchy drug dealer dude, what are you doing out here past the towns curfew?"
He chuckled and looked me up and down, "i could say the same bout' you Mr. loner" he said jokingly.
I sighed, "well if you wanna know, i dont give a rats ass about some supposed killer going around rock hill. if something happens to me no one would worry. or even care for that matter. so why should I."
i finished and went to apologize to the stranger before he spoke up. "Im glad you see it that way." He said before hitting me over the head with someting hard. I felt myself drift away from concesness as the man placed me in the backseat of his car before speeding away.
Is this it...? is this REALLY how i die?
