Beyond The Walls (The Maze Runner)

Chapter 2- Greenie

Every glader stood around a unlit fire.

"Today we honor our new greenie" A man spoke

Everyone cheered and the man came up to me with a stick of fire

"Welcome greenie, I'm Alby"

So this was their leader

"You have the honors of lighting the fire to get this party started" he said as he handed you the stick.
You stood there for a minute then threw the stick down on the logs creating the big fire

"Welcome to the glade" Alby said as he walked off

I dont know where to go or who to talk to so I just went over to Newt, Chuck, and some other guy

"Hey greenie" Newt said as he smiled

"Hey guys"

"Greenie this is Minho" Newt said looking at the black haired man

"Hey I heard that you already got in a fight with the Klunk head" Minho said nodding over to Gally

"He was rude for no reason" I defended myself

"Well I can tell were gunna be close" he said winking

I rolled my eyes and sat down next to Newt

"Here have some of this" Newt said as he showed me a jar filled with some type of drink

"What is it" I asked

"We don't know Gally makes it"

"Fine" I say as I take a big drink from it. Ew what the heck is this it taste like shit

"There ya go greenie" Minho says

I look around to see people dancing, playing games, and fighting.

"What's that" I say pointing over to where the boys were fighting

"It's a game, you try to stay in the circle for as long as you can while pushing another person out" Chuck says

"It looks fun" I say wanting to try it

"No way greenie Gally is undefeated, you'll get hurt" Newt says

"Too bad" I say skipping over to the circle

"Anyone else want to try to defeat me" Gally says in a cocky tone

"I will" I state as I step forward into the circle

Gally laughs "I mean a worthy opponent, don't want to break a nail" he says turning around to see if anyone else would

Thats it

I go up to him and tap him on his shoulder

He turns around as I do a cheap shot kicking him where no man wants to be kicked

He falls to the ground in pain as I roll him out of the circle

"Go girlie" I hear Minho say in a sassy attitude as he snaps his finger

Gally finally had the strength to get back up

"That was cheap greenie" he says running back into the circle tackling me

I hit my head on the floor and remembered something

My name is Y/n

"My name is y/n" I shouted as everyone started cheering

Gally helped me up and raised my hand up in the air like I had just won a metal so something

"We welcome y/n to the glade" he yells as everyone cheers louder.
