water filling my lungs and i called out in vain to the one person who made me want to live, soey dragging him towards the hill, his own blood soaking his shirt.
the water gifted that had me, had me good. there was no getting out of this one. i finally stopped struggling, no air left in my body, lungs full of water. i closed my burning eyes, peace washing over me.
the peace was knocked out of me, literally, as i hit the muddy ground, immediately, someone turned me on my stomach pulling me up onto my knees and patting my back as the water that was drowning me internally, all came up, nose and throat burning.
flipping onto my back, i saw the same water gifted clawing at his eyes, soey smiling manically.
"thought you were dead for a second. trinity got creed, took him up to the cliff to be healed." soey panted as the water finally went brain dead.
"get up." she said as she stood, holding out her hand for me. i took it, pulling up my body. the second i was on steady feet i was running to the cliff, i needed to get to creed, see him, make sure he's okay.
reaching it i clawed my way up, soey on my tail.
"you almost died out their!" trinity screeched at me. "we need you up here" she added.
"where's creed?" i said disregarding her scolding. "he's on the way back to the base with the other wounded," she said quietly, he face downcast. "our healer was killed, so he has to go to the one at the base. he may not make it." i felt my eyes fill up, tears threatening to spill in anger.
soey put her hands on my shoulders. "do it, isabelle, you know you want to." she whispered into my ear.
"don't use your powers in her dammit" trinity said about to yank soey off of me as i looked at the battle raging below us.
"i don't have to waste any energy on her, she'll do it either way." soey said smiling. i turned.
"we need to get our people out of there. call for a surrender and when they are celebrating, i'll turn them to ash. no more of my friends need to die, give me 30 minutes, the surrender." i command.
grabbing soey's face, planting a kiss on her fore head i told her to stay put.
i had to kill my father.
