Getting Closer

Sakura looked back at the beach. Listening to the waves crash against the rocks. "Midoriya. You ever heard of the heroes named Elementalist and Vermillion?"

Midoriya's eyes lit up. He knew everything about heroes. He knew exactly who they were. "Yeah! They were this badass hero couple. They were actually top 4 and 5!"

Sakura sadly smiled. "Yeah. They were amazing." She turned her head to lock eyes with Midoriya. "I never told you my last name huh?"

Midoriya shook his head just realizing how he really didn't know anything about her. Not even her real last name.

"My name is Sakura Asano. Also known as the daughter of Elementalist and Vermillion." She softy said.

Midoriya's eyes widened. "Woah that's so cool! You're the daughter of-" Midoriya then just realized something. He had just remembered  of the terrible accident of the hero couple being murdered during a villain attack. His heart fell to the ground.

"Oh.." Midoriya then felt so guilty. "Sakura I'm so sorry I didn't mean to-"

Sakura held up her hand to cut him off. "It's fine Midoriya really. You didn't know."

Midoriya silently cursed himself for blabbering his mouth. It always got him in trouble.

Sakura began speaking again. "Anyways, you're aware of their powers right? Well I was born inheriting all of my parents' powers. It's very rare and has almost never really happened before."

Midoriya let out a small gasp. He knew how powerful the powers the hero couple had. That means Sakura was born with all three of their powers. Wait but that was just only three. She said she had four.

"You said you had four quirks?" Midoriya questioned.

It was then that Sakura looked down. She clenched her fists.

"When I was four, a villain attacked my home and killed my parents. And he took me as hostage. He somehow found about a child being born with three powerful quirks. He wanted to make a powerful weapon to destroy heroes. Even a hero like All Might." Sakura explained while she gritted her teeth.

Midoriya couldn't believe it. He had a feeling where this story would lead to but he was afraid to hear it.

"So he took me. Ripped me from my parents' arms. And for three years he tortured and trained me. Injecting me with these chemicals that would strengthen my quirks and my body. He would literally experiment on me like I was some lab rat." Sakura then lifted up her shirt to show her scars that ran through her sides and back.

Midoriya let out a gasp. Hewas horrified. He couldn't believe it. How could anyone do something so terrible to a child? Before he knew it, his eyes were starting to tear up.

Sakura then continued on. "At first, I thought he was just training my body to accept the injections. But that wasn't it. Do you remember what All Might said to you? About having to train your body for you to accept the One For All quirk so your limbs wouldn't literally tear apart?"

Midoriya nodded. He couldn't speak or otherwise a sob would come out.

"The villain that tortured me those years had a special quirk. A quirk that allowed him to steal other people's' quirks and even give it to people." Sakura was close to tears now but she blinked them away. No, she wasn't going to break down.

"All Might had a mentor. She was the previous user of One for All. The villain killed her and took her quirk. And then he gave it to me. That was the last thing he needed to turn me into a hero killing machine. A monster."
