Marlene POV
Christina, Uriah and I are all trying to find somewhere to go. Tris locked us all out of the room. Gee thanks.
Christina is still devastated from what happens to Will. She won't move or talk. Both of us are worried about her.
I want to cuddle up into Uriah's arms, but I don't want Christina to feel lonley. So I go and hug her.
"Hey, are you okay? Don't worry its all going to be fine." I say as I try to calm her.
"The fact that Will us gone is just not clicking in my mind." She sobs.
"Well, don't worry, but right now, we have to go find somewhere else to stay because staying here in this hallway does not seem like such a good idea."
"Ya, Marlene's right, we have to go find somewhere else." Uriah says.
I suddenly remember that I took my phone. I could call someone! Maybe Lynn, or Shauna and Zeke. No time for that now though. We have to find a safer place than the middle of the hallway.
"Let's try that way." I say pointing towards the living room. The room with the broken TV.
"Really Mar? You want to go into that room?" Uriah asked.
"Well, I let you shoot a muffin of my head so I think I can handle this."
We walk towards the living room.
Christina's still shivering. I can imagine how she must feel. If something happened to Uriah, I don't know what I would do.
"Ahahahah. Ahahahah." We hear.
""Guys, did you hear that? It sounded like a little child." Christina continued to shiver as she spoke.
"Ahahahah. Ahahaha"
The voice was a bit deeper this time. It still sounded like a child though.
"Ahahahaha. Ahahah." This time it was extremely deep. The voice didn't sound like anything we heard before.
We waited for a little while to see if there was anymore noises. We didn't hear anything.
"Let's keep going." Uriah said.
We took the smallest and quietest steps we could. Even the smallest creek scared us.
We walked, and finally got to the room.
Glass shards everywhere. Must be from the TV.
"Well, were here. Now what?" Uriah asked.
"Well, we will be a little safer from whatever is trying to get us." I replied. "Also, I was wondering if we should call someone."
"How? With a banana? There are no bananas here." Uriah rolled his eyes.
"No, I have my phone. I remembered that I took it. But a banana works too."
"Who are you planning on calling?"
"I don't know, someone."
Me and Uriah keep talking. We don't even notice that Christina has wandered off somewhere.
"Well, I am gonna call someone. Who should we call Christina?"
"Where is she?" Uriah asks.
"She's not here??" I turn around and start looking for her. "Christina? Christina? Where'd that girl go?"
We start to look around. Stay in the room, but keep looking.
I start to look around the couches, near the TV, behind places.
Uriah looks on the other side of where I'm looking.
"AAAHHHHHHH. OH MY DAUNTLESS CAKE!! OWWWWW!!! THAT HURTS!!"
I try to run towards Uriah without stepping on any of the glass.
Quite impossible.
"Uri, Uri, are you ok? What happened? Are you fine?? What happened?? Uri?" I scream.
"Mar, I think I stepped on a piece of glass. It just went through my shoe. I don't even know how."
"Are you ok? Are you bleeding?"
Oh please say your not bleeding.
"I'm bleeding,"
Oh yay.
"Mar, my foot is bleeding a lot."
"Oh no, this isn't good. No no no."
Thump thump thump
We hear from above us. It didn't sound like it came from the upstairs floor. I'm sure it came from above us though.
"Uri, did you hear that?" I ask.
He nods in agreement.
I look up to see if I can make out what is making the noise.
Nope, nothing.
Suddenly, we hear a crack. And out of no where the air vent above us fell down.
It was Four.
"What are you doing here??" Uriah asked in surprise.
"Four, where's Tris?" I remember him going inside the room with her before she locked out everyone.
"Listen, Tris is still in the room, something caught her leg. She kissed me. Then we found an air vent, I got in first, tried to pull her up. The shadowy figure was there. It pulled her down out of my hands. And now I'm here"
Four tried to explain to us.
"Wait, hold on, did you say she kissed you?" I ask.
"No time for that. Where's Christina?" He asked.
"SHE KISSED YOU??" Uriah asked.
"More like I kissed her. Same shit. Where is Christina?"
"You kissed her?" I ask.
"Yes, I did. Where is Christina. I think I found Will."
"Will? How could you have found Will? He got sucked into the shadow." I ask him again.
"I don't know I was in the vent and I saw someone. I don't know for sure who he was. It was a guy. Know that for sure."
"Well, she kind of wandered off somewhere. And we can't find her." Uriah said.
Uriah and Four keep talking. Somehow I didn't feel the need of being in the conversation anymore.
I started looking around. For something clean I could wrap around Uriah's foot.
I can't find anything. I'll ask for something when I call someone. Haven't got to that yet. Probably won't for now.
I turn back around and walk towards both of them. As I'm walking, I see something. It looks like another figure. I keep walking towards the figure. It looked like it was behind one of them.
The figure started to move.
It moved both its hands out, I realized what was happening.
It was reaching for Uriah.
"URIAH, MOVE!" I run towards him trying my best to avoid the glass.
"URI!!! MOVE!!! GET OUT OF THE WAY!!! THERES SOMTHING BEHIND YOU!!" I cried.
He trys to move but it's too late. The figure has Uriah in his hands, and I don't think he's letting go.
