Maddie's Pov

It's been a few days since the service for my Dad. I don't really know how to feel but it seems like everyone else is just moving on. I get up as I slip into a pair of black legging along with a baggy off the shoulder top as I slide my feet into my toms as I walk out to the kitchen. I see everyone sitting at the table talking like any other normal day. I shake my head as I say,

"I am going out for a walk." As I heard for the day no one says anything as I just walk out. I am just walking around the base watching all the people going to work, school or where ever when I hear someone yelling my name. I stop as I look back to see Sean running to me. He catches up as we continue to walk as he says,

"I was going to go workout and I was wondering if you would like to come with me?" I look at him as I say,

"Sure why not." He smile as says,

"I'll race you back to the house." I look at him unsure why he wants to race and why he is in a good mood.

*at the gym*

Sean and I are on the leg machines when he says,

"How are you doing Maddie?" I look at him as I say,

"Fine" he goes quiet as he finally says,

"No Maddie how are you really doing?" I look at him as I shake my head and say,

"We're not doing this." He looks at me as he says,

"We have too." I roll my eyes as I say,

"No we don't Sean and I am not going to so just stop." As I say this he looks at me and says,

"You know I will be going back overseas soon." At this I lose it as I let the weights drop as I run out. I hear Sean yelling my name but I don't stop. I told him I didn't want to talk about it so why can't he expect that. I run inside as I slam into a huge box sitting in the middle of our living room. As I fall over the box I slam my nose on the floor as I scream as my mum and Calum run over to me. Calum helps me up as the blood is running from up nose I look at the box as I say,

"No this is to much." My mum says,

"Honey don't worry about that right now. We need to get you to the ER." I look at her as I say,

"I don't need your help! I can go by myself!" As I grab the towel from Calum's hands and walk out.

Joy's Pov

I watch Maddie leave as Calum says,

"Mum do you want me to go with her?" I ignore him as I turn to Luke and hand him her insurance card and my credit card as I say,

"Would you mind going with her. She listens to you." Luke nods his head as he runs after her. As I turn to Calum he shakes his head as he says,

"I am her brother not him!" As he storms to his room. Macie looks at me as I say,

"What do I do?" She pulls me to her as I just stand there crying.

Maddie's Pov

I walking holding the towel to my nose when I Luke runs up next to me. I look at him as he says,

"Are you okay?" I look at him as I say,

"Luke you can be here but do not ask me if I am okay." He nods his head as we quietly walk to the ER.

*at the ER*

The doctor is looking at my nose when he says,

"Maddie your nose is broken." I look at him as he goes to get the stuff to put on my nose. Luke and I walking back as he says,

"When you get back the box will still be there." I nod my head as I say,

"I am not going to look in it." Luke looks at me as he says,

"Maddie you can't deny the fact that this happened." I stop in my tracks as I look at him and say,

"You have no right. You don't know what it's like to lose someone you love so much." Luke looks at me as his face goes to an emotion that I haven't seen since we were kids as he says,

"You know what I am done right now." As he turns around and walks away. I look at him as I stomp my foot and storm off to the house.

Calum's Pov

I am in my room when I hear a door slam as Maddie yells,

"No one understands!!" As she stomps to her room and slams her door. I get up as I walk out of my room and knock on Maddie's door. She doesn't say anything as I walk in and say,

"What's going on?" She looks at me as she says,

"Luke and I got into a fight." I wait for her to go on as she says,

"He tired to tell me that I had to face up to what's going on than I freaked out and said he didn't understand." I look at Maddie as I shake my head as I say,

"Are you kidding me Maddie? You and Luke have been friends forever. You don't remember." She looks at me as she realization hits her.
