Amelia Heidari knows her last two years at the University of Toronto matter more than anything shes done before. Her goals for the year include: raising her 3.8 GPA, securing a med-related internship, making her Middle Eastern parents proud, and becoming financially independent so that she doesn't feel indebted to her father. Falling into bed with the Varsity Blues forward was never on her list, but neither was blowing her interview and losing her internship eligibility.
Zayn Carter has been dreaming of playing in the NBA since the moment he learned to shoot hoops. With graduation fast approaching, he needs these last two years to hone his skills and improve his standings to ensures he's draft ready. That means continuing to make the game his priority and sticking to his one-and-done policy but, that's easier said than done. Amelia Heidari was only supposed to be a hookup, not the girl derailing his game and risking his career.

Hey! I just wanted to start by saying this is my first book and something that I've been thinking about for awhile. I don't usually write fiction since I'm more of a research analysis/thesis writer so please bare with me. Any and all feedback is appreciated, just don't rip me to threads, I'm weak (or go ham lol I'd love the feedback either way).
**you guys might have noticed the slight change in the introduction, it was made intentionally. A writer approached me saying they were uncomfortable with the wording and how it reminded them of their intro, to help alleviate some of their discomfort, I decided to change it! The story will still proceed as planned, as mine doesn't follow their plot line, but I really hope this change helps.
I decided to pick up creative writing as one of my hobbies during Covid-19 but idk how long the motivation will last or how often I'll be able to write because I'm in my last year of uni and taking spring/summer classes.
I just wanted to quickly add that some words might look like typos (ie. ahmagh and goh) but they aren't. They are actually Farsi words (Iranian dialect) I thought it be better to type them in English than use actual Arabic letters and have people be like wtf is this I cant read it.

Before we begin, I think its important to say that this story takes place in Canada, which means the legal drinking age is 19 and not 21 like it is in the States. Although the book is based in Toronto, it's still a work of fiction so not everything will align perfectly with the city and UofT.
This book is intended for an older audience - meaning there will be swearing, tons of drinking and steamy scenes.
