"Catch her!" A dark shadow flipped off a stone wall, her lips curled back into a triumphant smirk. In her hand, she clutched tightly at a sphere wrapped thickly in swaths of cloth, it's bright glow still shining through her tightened fingers. "She's gone!" The woman smiled to herself as the soldiers on the other side of the wall muttered to themselves anxiously, it was a job well done. Wasting not a moment, she placed her hand on the ground and muttered a few words under her breath in a tone that was barely worthy to be called a whisper and immediately the alley glowed with soft violet light, causing the woman to glance around worriedly. And with a roar, a deeper purple light swirled into existence. When the blinding light disappeared, in it's place sat a huge leopard with unblinking purple and black eyes. "Asa, how's my father?"  the woman whispered, concerned not in his well being but for his actions. Asa tilted her orange and black head to the side and scratched a few Mythical Runes in the dirt, her claw causing loose dirt to scatter all over the place. Sent out Elijah. The woman's blood went cold. Elijah, her best friend. Elijah, her...Hunter. Calming down, she peeked out of the alley, there was no one there. She would be safe- for now. The woman gently pushed off her hood, shaking out her thick mane of black hair. Then she gently unwrapped the sphere carefully and the glowing, golden orb shined in the dark, illuminating her gaunt face, pale with fear. A tiny bird-a phoenix- was curled up inside the orb, seemingly dead but the woman knew better, the Spirit Animal was only asleep, waiting for it's rightful owner. She wasted a few precious moments admiring Everblaze before she heard footsteps running with her enlightened hearing after training for 13 years and was immediately on her guard, her muscles tensing.

"Do you really think you can get away with stealing our most precious item in the home of the Elementalists?" A tall man stepped into the alleyway, a large sword glinting at his side and a hawk sitting on his shoulder, its talons digging into the man as if it wanted to stop him from continuing. "It is no long the 'home' of the Elementalist, it's more like a jail!" The woman cried, painstakingly setting the sphere inside her coat, ignoring the whimper of Asa. "Jail?" The man scoffed, frowning at the brid on his shoulder before glancing up back to the woman. "You grew up in this 'jail', Adele." He sneered, emphasizing her name.

"MOVE!" Adele fumed as she tried to shove past the man, aiming for his weak spot she discovered years ago. He didn't budge so Adele tried to scale the walls instead but the man commented, sounding quite amused to Adele's annoyance "I wouldn't do that is I were you, there's already a group of well-trained Elementalists waiting for you, I don't want you to get hurt, Adele."

"Sure you don't, you don't want the Phoenix hurt not me" Adele replied, frantically thinking of ways to escape. She can't fail. The Phoenix had been planning this for years! "I'm your best friend, I don't want you to get hurt" The man stepped closer but didn't deny her accusation and Adele took this chance to flip over him but he grabbed her hand and crashed her to the ground, knowing that Adele won't be hurt. She landed on her feet perfectly without a sound as a feline would.

"You forgot, I know you too well since I did live in the same hall as you for 13 years." He chided. Adele stood up and quickly checked if the orb was hurt and the man stepped over, a worried and panicked expression adorning his face "It's not broken is it?"

Adele growled at him "What do you want, Elijah?" "Finally to the point, you are one of the only Electric Elementalists in our society, you are much needed so as long as you come back with me, I'm sure Headmaster Othala-your father-will see reason and keep you at Enternalia as a teacher" Elijah said smoothly, nonchalantly picking a loose thread on the edges of his dark green tunic.

"Don't you know how much I hate that place, Eli? I thought you will always be on my side!" Adele cried, looking hurt and disappointed.

"Headmaster's orders, all relationships severed" Eli replied robotically, sounding as if he was reciting something he memorized. "Surely there's another choice!" Adele tried to slip past him again by Eli held out a hand to block her. "If you come with me, I will make sure you will get a place as a teacher" He promised sincerely, offering a hand at Adele. '"Just give me the Phoenix." He urged.

"The Headmaster killed Hector, why would you listen to him" Adele screeched, dodging out of the way again, tucking the orb behind her back like a little kid refusing to give back something they took without permission. "He was a traitor, I detests traitors!" Eli replied tensely, letting his hand fall back awkwardly to his side. "He was your brother!" Adele looked shock.

"So what if one day I'm a traitor, are you going to kill me too?" She challenged suddenly. Eli looked pained "That's a different story."

"What's so different? He's your brother, Eli!"

"I've always known you had a soft spot for him and yes, there is a difference, you are not a traitor, he is" Eli replied angrily, looking away.

"You're not the Elijah, I used to know" Adele whispered,  tossing him the glass ball and followed Eli stiffly. Then she stopped and tilted her head up to the stars "Brother, you gave your life for this cause, I won't give up, not matter the cost" Adele vowed quietly.
