This guy... No, this devil, he's showing everyone such a nice face, but I've known him for too long to know that this is all just an act.
I know his secret, and I know he's not some god-sent angel that everyone thinks of him now.
I am watching him, this angelic form, suddenly being nice to everyone, being selfless... He's being so pretentious, I hate it!
I am watching him, yet, why do I feel like he's also watching me?
I glance behind my back, and what I saw froze my body out of fear...
He's there.
He's watching me.
His eyes are void of emotion, yet, those eyes show that he wants something from me.
Suddenly, the pretentious angel I was once observing is now looking at me too, it's eyes as emotionless as the devil behind me.
They're getting closer!
I can't move... I can't even scream! What's this?!
He kept getting closer until his face is right in front of mine.
I can't breathe!
His mouth starts to move, he's about to say something...
"I want to m—"
*knock* *knock* *knock*
"Valerie, sweetie, Rayleigh is waiting downstairs, aren't you awake yet?"
Three sharp knocks woke me up from a supposed nightmare, I grasped for air as trickles of sweat flowed down my face.
After a few deep breaths, I began to calm down. My hands started searching for my phone out of instinct.
6:09 am, 39 minutes past the alarm time, and exactly 51 minutes before the bell rings.
I'm going to be late!
"Sorry mom! I just woke up, can you tell Rayleigh to go first if I'm not there at 6:30?"
"No need, to rush. You've got more than an hour before the bell rings!"
"What do you mean, it's—" oh right, I set my phone's clock 30 minutes early last night.
"Stop being sluggish and get ready if you want to go with Rayleigh."
"Alright mom, be there in a sec."
I will my body up to stretch for a bit, my phone is now placed back on my messy bed. I walked into the bathroom to take a quick shower.
The water's cold, just how I like it. I finally calmed down and started rearranging my thoughts.
It's been one month since senior high school, and I've been watching that guy since he started acting suspicious.
On the other hand, Rayleigh, my newfound friend, who is currently waiting for me downstairs, happens to have developed a crush on him.
