Summer's finally over. It's not like I was doing anything special anyway. I'm so ready to complete my last year of high school.
As I open my eyes the sun glistened through the window to signify that a new day had arrived. I sat down and try to regain some strength to get up. Even if I slept for ten hours, I'd still wake up tired.
I heard my mom screaming downstairs. It's happening again.
"Marshall that's not my fucking fault", she shouted on the top of her voice.
"It's never your fault Kacey", I heard my father reply and the door slammed closed a few seconds later. My parents are always fighting. They had no time to recognize me. Literally, they don't know about the last report I collected. My father was most likely to care but even he was too stressed my mom yo care anymore. I sighed and got up. Better go make myself breakfast.
Before I went to the kitchen, I had a bath. The shower was my only solace, other than music. The only place I could be that drowned out the shouting and constant fighting between my parents.
I got out and picked out my outfit for school which included a green blouse and white pants with black flats. I didn't bother to put make up on.
I looked in the mirror and sighed. I didn't like what I saw. I was short and chubby with normal brown eyes brown hair. Nothing special.
I went downstairs and ate an apple and drunk some tea because my mother would curse if she saw me frying bacon. I had always been on the curvy side but she told me that I was unattractive and that I would never get far in life with my shape.
I finally arrived at school and hurried over to my best friend, Leigha. We'd been friends since freshman year.
"Hey D, how was your summer?, She asked as she embraced me.
"Well I did work and......well ya that's all", I chuckled and shrugged.
In Chemistry class, Mr Smith gave us a pop quiz , which I'm pretty sure I scored a hundred percent in.
I walked out of the class and was on my way to the library when I was pushed against a locker.
My heart rate sped up and I started to panic.
"You are pathetic, you little scum, why did your parents have you?" A boy said to me and I tried to fight it but my eyes gathered tears and I started to become pale I'm sure. When he realized he let go of me and ran. I fell to the floor as I tried to make the panicking stop. It wouldn't and I saw stars before I blocked out.

I woke up with the strong scent of alcohol burning my nose. So I'm in a hospital. The doctor came in shortly after.
"Destiny, I'm glad you're awake. I have a few questions to ask you", he said and I nodded.
My mother stepped into the room then. She didn't even look sympathetic. She looked like she couldn't be bothered to be here.
"Have you been eating for the past month?" He asked. My mother looked at me threateningly. I held down my head and nodded.
"How about taking in fluids", I wasn't allowed to touch any drinks or milk in the house.
"Yes", I answered and the rest of his questions were a blur as my eyes became misty.
"I'm going to need you to eat more this week because your blood count is low and you are dehydrated", he explained and I nodded even though I knew it probably wouldn't happen.
He left the room after telling me I would be able to leave in two hours.
"You're still fat, how can your body be drained? Sometimes I wish you were never born" She scowled in disgust.
