I am an ordinary university student in my second year. I am not someone who you can say 'stands out' amongst a crowd hell, I don't even stand out amongst a small group of people who call me their friend but I'm pretty sure they only let me hang around them is because I am fairly good at my studies and they need someone to crash course the semester to them in a week. I am not very athletic nor have any sort of skills that would help me try to live the life of a normal human being for once not to mention that anybody I tried to interact with would get disgusted by my obvious desire for attention and sense of inferiority. I felt out of place and unwanted among my peers. It derived me mad how I endured this inside of me for most of my life and how nobody seemed to notice my subtle shrieks for help. With nowhere left to go, my endless walk in the dark led me to my saving grace apparently.

At the end of my first year I stumbled upon the world of anime and manga and other Japanese culture by accident. I saw these boring unnoticeable protagonists have a fateful encounter with a beautiful girl who'd fall in love with him throughout the series and live happily ever after. I was over joyed by these events repeating over and over even if it was becoming a cliché as it filled me to the brim with hope that it was my destiny to have a fateful encounter as well and I would finally receive the love I deserve. As the spring of the new semester welcomed us, I saw her, long sleek raven hair dancing in the mildly warm winds, smooth white skin glooming with a shine amongst the dull group of girls and boys around her but it was her eyes which made me understand what was happening, 'Japanese' I whispered underneath my breath as I stared at her while the surrounding crowd started to whiten out and the voices of students slowly go silent. My moment was here, my fateful encounter had arrived.

It was first period on a Wednesday morning. First slot classes are the worst, we had one of our two mathematic subjects, calculus maybe, it's still a new semester so I don't remember all that well nor did I care. A crowded classroom jam-packed with about more than forty students. The teacher was busy writing symbols and equations on the board that no one was paying attention to anyways I think except the pets in the front of course. I was sitting near the windows on the right side of the class with my 'friends' as they discussed where they wanted to hang out this weekend clearly with no intention of inviting me along not even asking me if I wanted to tag along as if I wasn't even present here or I was deaf or something. It disgusted me that come the midterms, I'll become the most important person in the world and they'll invite me everywhere. I pretend to ignore them and pay attention to class for now, as I looked at the board my mind started to fade again, the numbers on the board twisted and turned, the irritating classroom noise muted away again. My mind had drifted back to this morning, I felt time freeze as I watched her stride past me to the main entrance of the faculty where she vanished between the crowds of people from which she appeared, nothing else moved for me including myself in that scene, I felt numb to my core until I had snapped back to reality, I was back in the classroom, my friend shook me awake from what felt like a fever dream, I was gasping for air for some reason. He got spooked for a second and asked what was wrong. I obviously wasn't going to tell any of them so I just waved him off telling it was nothing. Knowing them, they would just make fun of me like they have or worse, try to get themselves involved somehow. I was not about to let someone take my moment away from me, not this time, not again. He woke me up because class had ended and everyone had pretty much left. 'We don't have another class until noon, we going to the cafeteria, you coming?' he asked. I was surprised they actually invited me for once but I declined and told him to go on with a forced smile telling him that I had something to do. As I watched him leave through that door, I knew what I had to do today, she was in this faculty somewhere, I have to find her, and I must know who she is.
