I was on my way to work as I normally do on any weekday. Same as usual ya know, I hop in my flying car and start my commute to work as normal. But something about today felt...different? So different in fact I decided to grab the old journal my dad passed down to me and began writing a log in case something weird were to happen to me on my ride to work.

I still don't know what it was that made me stop by the woods that day, but I did want to take a break for a bit to write all of this. As I stopped to sit and gather my thoughts, I noticed a weird glow off in the distance. There was nothing sinister about it, and definitely nothing I thought to avoid, so i got up and began my slow and steady approach towards the weird light source.

I was met with a stone pillar, like nothing I'd ever seen before except in pictures of ruins from long ago. I guess to keep up my dads old legacy, Ill keep a little drawing of the thing in the notebook. I cant be called crazy if I have that, right?

Anyways, I'm getting off track here. As I began to approach the strange statue, I was pulled into a vortex. Nothing but lights and what looked like space enveloped me. I was blinded by madness, feeling like I was being tossed around like some kind of doll.

Before I knew it, I was spit out into another grassy field. The same trees, the same flowers, the same sounds of nature. But something felt off. Something didn't feel right. This wasn't where I had grew up. This wasn't the woods I passed on my way to work every day. This was somewhere different.

This was not home.
This was something new and strange. And from the looks of the newly formed pile of rubble, It seemed like it might be my home for quite some time.
