I feel like a big thing of writing a book is what the fuck are you writing

Whether its an original book you've created or its a movie/show based it has to be creative

Ive never written my own "original book" (as in you made it and its not based on a specific character/ person.)

Honestly its so much harder making a successful original. But if your passionate with it then you will 100% get somewhere with it. Do it for yourself not for reads

Fanfics

For a fanfic there is several ways people will approach it

Your either the make your own plot type of writer (like me)

Orrrrrr

You follow each scene and the dialogue and just stick your own character in there. (Ive done this before)

Now ima say it (some of yall bout to be real mad at me but it must be said)

If you write a book that is basically a book version of a tv show/ or movie and just stick in your own character its not bad

But its nottttt creative!! ITS HONESTLY BORING (especially if you've read so many fanfics that do that)

Ive done this. And i did it when fanfics for the love interest (oscar diaz) character were just starting to be made.

You have no idea how many books that follow the script there are

Im not bashing them but

Im pretty sure if the reader is reading a book about this person (love interest) THEY DONT NEED A WRITTEN COPY ABOUT THE SHOW/ MOVIE. They fuckin watched it!!! They know what happens.

Be creativeeee!!!!

People love a fan fiction that is 100% creative

Create your own plots. Do something you havent seen before. Be different.

Ive made a book that followed ON MY BLOCK's scenes and dialogue and numbers wise it wasnt as successful as books that i was 100% creative with that didnt follow the plot word for word.

Its good to incorporate some parts of the show. But its boring to copy everything. People have seen that. Give them something new.
