"Yes you are" she pulled me in making me scream. We were in the deep end and I was scared as fuck.

I slowly traced my finger over bey's scars on her arms.

"Hey" we looked to the side and saw two elderly woman just chilling around us.

"Hi, sorry to bother you I'm Barbara. I saw you do that jump, do you think you can teach me. It's on my bucket list"

"Sure" bey sat me down on the edge of the pool and pecked my lips. "I'll be back babe" then her and barbra swam off.

"Is she your girl friend?" Some other elderly women asked.

"No she's my wife"

"Oh that's so sweet, she seems very nice"

"I don't mean to be all in y'all business but did someone hurt her, I can see it in her eyes and you know"

"Yeah, someone did but she's okay now. She's doing better. You know we take it day by day"

"Yes I understand, you see barbra was in a abusive relationship a while ago and it took ages to get to feel confident again but look at her now, living her best life"

"That's amazing but does she want people to know" I asked trying not to be rude.

"Oh yes, whenever she gets the chance she tells young people her story so they know that everything will be okay and she makes me let people know as well"

"That's so awesome, I'm glad she's doing better" I took my phone out and filmed bey teaching her new friend before they both jumped in together and did a couple flips.

When they hit the water bey put Barbara on her back and power swam back to me.

"Thank you dear, you're very beautiful and nice, your mom must be lucky to have a daughter like you"

"Oh my mom passed away when I was two but she wrote me a lot of letters and said that she will always love me so I guess if she was here then maybe"

"Oh I'm so sorry to here that, you know I have a daughter around your age. She's over there with her friends, I wish she was more like you"

"I'm sure she's not that bad and I'm nothing special"

"Oh my daughter doesn't listen to me at all. She invited me here just so I'd pay for her and her friends to come here."

"Oh that's terrible, I used to be really selfish too and I remember a time me and my parents got into a huge argument because they gave away the money that they where gonna buy me a car with to charity.
