It was a Friday night, Cassy favourite time to party hard. She wore a tight fitting red dress that reached her mid-thigh. She applied light makeup and made sure she wore a red lipstick that matched her dress. She wanted to wear her black high heels but she opted for leather slippers because of her street bumpy roads, MFM road is the worst place to wear heels, one might end up falling down if care is not taken.
"I will wear my heels when I get to the main road. And I will keep my slippers in my bag," she thought to herself.

She asked her roommate, Rekiyah if she would follow her but she declined."You know I'm not a party freak like you," she said

"Whatever, I'm going anywhere. My baby boy will be there, I can't wait to see him," she said excitedly.

"You and this your yeye boyfriend. I don't like the guy," Rekiyah grunted

"Na you sabi! At least I have one. Where's yours?" She retorted?

"You know I'm in a serious relationship with Mahmoud. Just that he is Lagos based," she retorted back.

"Serious relationship indeed, do you know what he's doing over there."She snorted

"I trust him. He's loyal to the core"

"Hmm, I hear you. Anyways I'm about to leave. Make sure you lock the door," she cautioned.

"Yeah, I know. Make sure you stay safe too honey. Have fun"

"You know I will," Cassy replied and they both giggled.

She bade her roommate's goodbye and left her hostel, which is not quite far from the main road. After wearing her heels at the roadside, she called a bike man whom she noticed was a Hausa man.

"Soundbar. Shey u sabi the club"

"Ermmm, make we go I know am, your money na #150," he replied in a whack pidgin.

"You sure?" She asked again because Ilorin bike men can sometimes be cunning. They can say they know a place they don't know. Only for you to get to the place, they charge you extra.

"Walai, make we go," he replied assuring her.

"Oya make we go"

Then they zoomed off.

It was along the way that Cassy realised she was right about the bike man. He didn't know the place. If she had not known the place, they would have been lost. When they got to the front of the club, she alighted and paid her money, but he refused to collect it.

"Aunty this place far o, you go pay me extra walai," he complained

"See this one oo, no be you talk sabi the place"

"Walai I sabi the place. I no know say na this one you dey talk"

"Abi this one dey craze ni, shey another Soundbar dey for this Ilorin?
My friend, collect this money" she shouted angrily.

"Walai I no go gree. Na #300 I go collect" Then he started speaking in Hausa which she was sure were insults.

"All that incantations wey you dey chant no concern me. If you no collect this #200 for my hand now, I go show you sey I be real Lagos babe this night."

Meanwhile, Jamal and his friend Bolaji drove in around that time. They got out of the car and were greeting some people outside the club when they noticed the commotion in front of the club.

"Wetin dey happen there. Beejay make we go see," Jamal said

"I think it's between one bike man and a girl. Wait, no be Cassy be that?"  Beejay replied.

"You mean the Cassy in our faculty?"

"Yes na, Cassy your friend. Let's go" Beejay said and went to meet her.

She was still shouting at the bike man and the bike man, on the other hand was getting more pissed off and was cursing her in Hausa.

"Anything you say na you sabi. Collect the money from me before I change my mind and not give you anything"

"Hey hey Cassy, calm down. What happened?" Jamal said trying to calm her down.

She turned around to see it was Jamal and Beejay beside her.
"Jamal no mind this stupid aboki guy," she explained what happened between them. "The idiot think say I be ajebutter babe, he no know say my craze pass he own. And my mind was telling me not to enter this bike oh"

"But Cassy how much is #300? I know a big girl like you can afford the money" Beejay interfered too.

"It's not about the money, I'm bigger than #300. What pissed me off was the fact that he's a liar. He should have told me he didn't know the place"

"It's okay, we will settle this. Jamal, since you understand Hausa maybe you should talk to him. He will understand you more." Beejay said calmly.

Jamal and the bike man spoke in Hausa and at the end of their conversation, Jamal gave the man #500. He thanked Jamal and zoomed off.

"Thief!" She shouted at the bike man."Why did you give him #500?" She accused Jamal.

He smiled, "It's okay, you sef like wahala"

"It's not like that but sometimes you have to quarrel with those people so that they won't cheat you. Thanks anyway. I didn't even know you understand Hausa." Cassy said

"Of course I do. I'm a Hausa boy remember?"

"Hey what about me?" Beejay shouted feeling left out.

Cassy chuckled "Thank you too"
"Jamal why are you here alone in a party without Miranda by the way"

"I really didn't plan on coming, I was dragged here by this fool" he replied pointing at Bolaji."Are you here alone tonight too?"

"No, my boyfriend is here. That reminds me, he should have called by now." Cassy said worriedly and called his number several times but he didn't pick.

"He's probably too busy enjoying himself inside the club" Bolaji suggested.

"Shut up," Jamal said punching him lightly on his elbow

"What? I was just saying," he replied pretending to be innocent.

"Anyway, I will go inside to look for him."

"Alright, see you later. You look beautiful tonight by the way, " Jamal complimented her.

"Awwwn, thanks dear"

"Yeah, I was about to say that too. But I would have used "hot and sexy" for how you look. You look like someone that is up for something. Your boyfriend will enjoy you tonight oo. " Bolaji joked with a mischievous wink this time.

"Just shut up!" Cassy snapped at him and then left.

When she left, Jamal smacked Bolaji's head "Guy you no get sense"

"Wetin na, I no do anything na"

"Sharrap"

When Cassy entered the club, there was music blasting everywhere as always. She always love the energetic vibe of the club, it always makes her want to dance. But she had to look for her man first. She searched frantically for him until she saw him dancing with a girl. Not a normal boy and girl innocent dance, their dance seemed more intense and seductive.

She was enraged!
