His Version Of Their Story

He was just a month away from celebrating his twenty fifth birthday but he was still as restless as a nine year old. This was why he was checking his Rolex, the one his wife had gifted him on his last birthday......... Damn the stupid meeting! His wife had already left for Japan and he was still here listening to one of the executives speak non-stop about his plans.

"Mr Kim.....?" his secretary said,shaking him down from his thoughts.

Hanbin looked around only to meet the stares of his employees.

"So Mr Kim....how do you think will our new devices hit the market?" the company's marketing supervisor asked.

Hanbin paused for a minute, because he had no idea as to how he would answer the question.

"Well....... Mr Jenson, I...I'll supervise the plans once again.....send them to my office. If i like them then I'll approve, if not then I will make sure that it is rejected...... The meeting's over ladies and gentlemen....... Have a good day ahead." saying this the young CEO and owner of COMFO GLOBAL left the conference room , the others staring at him.

"Strange kid.... isn't he?" Mr Jenson muttered.

"Poor guy...... must be getting dominated my his wife, I've heard his wife is quite scary." Inoue Madashi, the company's youngest representative commented.

"Better watch your tongue kid.... If the boss hears a word against his wife, he is sure to fire you..." Jenson stated.

"Seems like Mr Hanbin is quite smitten by his wife....." Inoue said.

"Yeah.... I've known him since he was a little kid, loitering around this building to disturb his father... and never in my entire life have I seen him this dedicated to anything or anyone...." Jenson remarked.

"Oh well then maybe Mr Kim is just another difficult person...." Inoue absent-mindedly stated.

"Madashi........ Hanbin is of course difficult to understand but easy to read" Jenson replied with a smile.

FLASHBACK

"GOD! Sometimes you're so difficult to understand!" Yura had thundered when Hanbin had suddenly asked her to go out with him "seriously" when they were in their 10th standard.

Yura had laughed at his remark and answered, " C'mon Hanbin......... I said you were difficult to understand...,...... You are indeed difficult to understand but easy to read...."

END OF FLASHBACK

The memory made Hanbin smile and he desperately wanted to call Yura up...... but he didn't.

She had gone to Japan without even bothering to tell him....... so why would he bother checking up on her?

Hanbin had come home quite early that day. The huge mansion seemed to be devoid of the feeling of 'homliness' and the only sound that could be heard was that of the servants' chatterings.

He took off his Armani suit and loosened his tie before the collar button of his white shirt. Then, he roughly ran his fingers through his red hair and made his way to his study.

Sitting on his chair, he took the picture frame on his desk and closely examined it. It was the picture of his and Yura's last vacation. They had sailed across the Pacific to their island on their family owned luxury yatch, "Haley". Yura was wearing a blue Versace Summer Dress and her dark brown hair was tied into a bun, she looked radiant. Hanbin was wearing a white Ralph & Lauren with Brown pants. Both looked happy.

"Because we were happy..." Hanbin said, his voice hardly audible.

He was startled when he felt something fury move across his feer.

Hanbin smiled and scooped the brown cocher spaniel in his hand.

"Hey there Dan" he said.

'Dan' - the brown cocher spaniel - had been Hanbin's first gift to Yura after their marriage. It's name had beem very controversial. Hanbin had named it 'Dan'  in the honour of the maniac who brought him and Yura together but wanted to name it V (Kim Taehyung) after his former rival.

Yura, on the other hand did not want that maniac's (DaNiel) name in any form to be heard around her new home. But in the end, she had to agree to Hanbin, thanks to his acting skills....

"Is there anything in this place that won't remind me of her?" Hanbin wondered aloud.

Dan suddenly let out a bark that almost resembled a cry. Hanbin gave it a pat and then realized that he (Dan) had done it after seeing the picture.

"Don't worry Dan ...You're not the only one who's missing her.... The only difference is that you can express it but I can't...." Hanbin stated before putting Dan down and immersing himself in the layout of the new project to distract himself.
