"What's up?" I say casually and I fiddle with my pencil and glance around the room and see conversations have picked back up with the rest of the class since the teacher is still late. Jessica and Mike are actually silence for once, however, Jessica leans forward and I know she couldn't stay quiet for long since she's a gossip.
"How did you get so chummy with the Cullen's so quickly and Rosalie for that matter?" Jessica whispers her stupid, nosy questions and it figures she would ask about Rosalie since I walked into the cafeteria with her.
"Yeah... Also, It's like you're a whole new person today too. What's up with that?" Mike asks blushing, and I cock my head to the side giving him my best what the hell look because that is an evasive question, I mean what gives him the idea that I was actual friends with him or Jessica for them to ask questions like that.
"Yesterday was a really bad day for me, not that it was anyone's business." I state with a stern expression before adding. "And before you ask, it wasn't because it was the first day of school here for me and for being chummy with the Cullen's I could call us being chummy too since you both asked me the most evasive questions for having just met me." I say to mainly to Jessica because as of yesterday I know she must be the gossip queen of this school. Also, I evaded answering her. I don't care who hears me now and there are few chuckles around us and even Mike chuckled. Jessica, however, looks wide-eyed with embarrassment and she flicks her hair and gives Mike a pointed look.
"What's up with yesterday then?" Mike asks ignoring Jessica who Jessica perks up again and looks between the two of us. I sigh and shake my head. "It was personal and no one's business." I say again while rolling my eyes because the boy didn't get the hint earlier. He nods and looks away and clears his throat then looking back at me.
"I'm sorry," Mike says still blushing and a pouty smile while giving me flirty eyes.
We all turn to look at the sound of the classroom door shutting and see the teacher walk in looking miserable as he tries to hide the wet stain on his dress shirt with a stack of papers. That explains why he was late and miserable, I think to myself. This should make for a shitty class no doubt.
"I'm sorry for being late. I got bumped into and it caused an accident to happen and I couldn't find my spare shirt in my car, so, you'll all have to excuse my appearance." He says placing his bag down on the table and stands directly facing us and we get the full view of his shirt that looks to have a huge wet pinkish stain on it that looks like he tried to clean most of it up. My guess it was spaghetti sauce. Hmm maybe class won't be so bad after all.
Class started after no one dared to ask him any questions and I was grateful for the distraction from both Jessica and Mike. They seem like okay people but Jessica acts like we've been friends forever and Mike seems like I'm going to have to nip his attraction to me in the butt and let him know I'm not interested.
When the bell rang and the end of class I was slow to packing my stuff away and with hopes of doing so Jessica and Mike leave with their questions because I'm not answering and I smile when they leave. I finally put my bag on my shoulder and walk down the aisle and I stop when I approach the teachers desk.
"Was it spaghetti sauce?" I ask politely and he looks up with annoyance but it vanishes when he then sees who I am. I give him a small friendly smile and then he nods.
"Yes, it was unfortunate luck too, because it was a brand new shirt." He says looking annoyed down at his shirt and also a little sad.
"Do you have hydrogen peroxide at home?" I ask he and give me a questioning look. "I think so, why?" He asks looking interested in what I have to say now.
