𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕃𝕒𝕤𝕥 ℙ𝕒𝕕𝕒𝕨𝕒𝕟 [ᴘᴏᴇ ᴅᴀᴍᴇʀᴏɴ x ʀᴇᴀᴅᴇʀ]

~Chapter 12~

     "Oh, dear! My first laser battle," 3-PO takes Rey's staff that she gave him. Y/N jumps off the balcony, the force cushioning her fall so she doesn't get injured.

     "Where are the others?" Rey asks.

     "They came too?" Y/N wonders.

     "Poe was looking for you, worried out of his mind actually. Finn was helping him find Chewie. We separated when I got your message about the dagger," Rey explains.

     Y/N feels happy that Poe is looking for her, but Ren's voice enters her head about how he's using her. She tries blocking it, not sure what to even think.

     "Where are they?" Rey asks again.

     "They haven't come back." Rey notices something in the distance in the hangar they're in. The black galaxy in the dark night opens up to the sound of crazed whirling. Kylo Ren's ship appears and lands. Y/N isn't scared of him anymore but still hates him for what he told her. Rey, on the other hand, looks scared, like he had been haunting her dreams.

     "Find them!" Rey gives him Chewie's belt and crossbow. "Go!"

     "Friends ahead," D-O proclaims, and BB-8 chirps. Both follow 3-PO and meet with Poe, Finn, Chewie, and Armitage Hux.

    "Oh yes! There they are!" 3PO was relieved.

     "BB-8! Come on!" Poe waves to him to follow them.

     "I'll shut down the impeders. You've got seconds," Hux opens the blast door so they could get to the Falcon.

     "There she is," Poe looks out the window to see the ship. "She's a survivor."

     "Wait! Wait. Blast me in the arm, quick," Hux insists Finn to do so.

     "What?" He questions.

     "Or they'll know," Hux finishes.

     Finn points the blaster at his shoulder but quickly shoots him in the leg.

     "No! Ahh!" Hux trips and falls to the ground due to the impact on his leg.

     "Why are you helping us?" Finn asks.

     "I don't care if you win... I need Kylo Ren to lose," Hux states.

     "And he's a spy. Is he not? Isn't he supposed to help us?" A familiar voice interprets.

     "Y/N? Where did you come from?" Finn wonders.

     "Rey rescued me from an interrogation room I was thrown in. We went back to Ochi's ship, but we ran into trouble. I told Rey that I would follow the droids to make sure they didn't get lost. That was until we got caught up with stormtroopers and I told them to leave without me. Luckily I found you shooting Hux down before you left," Y/N explains, laughing once she's done.

     "Boy, am I glad to see you're alive, though," Finn says, motioning Y/N to go first into the blast door to get to the Falcon.

     She slightly bows, thanking him, and then runs through the hallway to the ship. Y/N enters the Falcon, the droids greeting her, then going their separate way.

     "Y/N? Oh my gosh, you're alive!" Poe jumps up from the cockpit seat, embracing her in a large hug. "When they told me you were dead I broke down. Please please please, don't put me through that again, it was hell."

     She lets Poe hug her, not knowing how to react.

     "Poe... Kylo told me stuff when he was interrogating me," Y/N whispers to him.

     "Hey hey hey," Poe pulls away, bending down a bit to her level, placing his hands on her shoulders. "I have no idea what he used against you, but I'm telling you right now that you are the strongest woman I have ever met, next to General Organa."

     Poe jokes, a small smile forming on Y/N's lips.

     "Y/N... I love you, with all my heart," Poe embraces her again, and she closes her eyes, tears pricking her eyes. "I didn't know what to do with myself when they told me what happened."

     "Poe-"

     "No, let me get this off my chest before we're interrupted. You are the best thing that ever happened to me, and these last hours without you taught me one thing, that I can't live without you."

     Hot tears stream down Y/N's face as she hears the words flowing from his mouth. Kylo Ren is wrong, he's not using her or lying to her. Poe isn't pulling the strings and throwing a veil over her head and tricking her. Poe Dameron loves her, and nothing can change that.

     Finn runs into the ship, ready to yell out to Poe that they need to leave. He sees them hugging and crying, and he really doesn't want to interrupt them.

     "Hey... guys?" He speaks up after a minute.

     The couple looks up to see him standing in front of them.

     "I hate to interrupt the reunion, but we really gotta go."

     "Right, Rey needs help," Y/N pulls away, wiping her tears away.

     "Let's go get her," Poe nods, gently pulling Y/N's face to give her a tender kiss.

     Rey stands at the edge of the landing pad's entrance. Looking down to see Kijimi. When she glances up, she sees space looking down at her. Kylo Ren just told her the truth about everything, and she doesn't know what to do with herself. How could it be?

     Suddenly, the Millenium Falcon appears, the ship turning around, the engine facing Kylo Ren and his stormtroopers. Poe accelerates and the sudden force blows the troopers back. Ren stands still, using the force to not move.

     "Rey! Come on!" Y/N shouts, the entrance wide open but far away from where Rey stands. Finn hears her shouting and runs down the ramp to see Rey.

     "Let's go!" Finn extends his hand, reaching for Rey.

     She takes a moment, walking back, then running at full speed. She jumps out to him, grabbing the poll and then his hand. She grabs Y/N's too and they help her up the ramp.

     Ren watches as she takes off with them once again. This time, he's disappointed, but still certain Rey will join him. And together they will rule now that she knows the truth.

     Rey now knew she's the granddaughter of Palpatine, and her father was the son of the Emperor. But she also knew the only news that made her happy.

     Her cousin is Y/N L/N
